Paper Frosting Friday!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.....and welcome to Paper Frosting Friday!
Today I have some Halloween frosting to share.....a set of mason jars filled with some
perfectly scary Halloween creatures.......just right for cards, layouts, journals,
maybe even good for a home decor project!
To make I simply stamped then die cut the mason jar, added the die cut filling, added
some faux gems then finished with some bakers twine tied around the jar top!
Rightio, that's my lot for today.....looking forward to having my Grandson  later.
Thanks for calling & whatever you're up to......have a lovely day!

Thursday Throwback!

Gosh, don't these weeks roll by quickly?
Thursday already which means time for another Thursday Throwback post......my weekly
look back at previous crafty makes to see how far I've come............or not, as the
case may be lol! If you fancy joining me do leave me a comment so I can come
visit you back!
Today I'm looking back over one of the 1st mixed media pieces I made......a blank canvas, I
simply sprayed various coloured inks along the top & let it drip down, whilst it was
still slightly damp I lightly sprinkled glitter over it. Once dry I added the die cut butterfly,
sentiment & jewel drops! Quick, easy & great fun and gave me the courage to try
more mixed media!
Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave,,,,,,see you tomorrow!

Quick & Easy!

Hi friends......hope you're all well & having a lovely day!
Thanks for all your lovely comments on the photo of Asher yesterday and birthday
wishes for my son.......takeaway tea was delicious but oh my, I'm glad we don't
eat it too often.....and I didn't even have room for birthday cake lol!
Sometimes we need a quick & easy card so today I have the quickest & easiest card to share......perfect for those last minute makes that we all need from time to time!
It's simply layers of card & a top layer of paper, a die cut sentiment & a couple
of faux gems! Obviously, the paper & sentiment can be changed to suit the occasion and
I thought these would be good to package up & give as gifts so the recipient had a
selection of cards for a selection of occasions.
And they're a great way to use up bots & bobs too......bonus!
Rightio, off to do some jobs, thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Something for the Weekend!

Hi friends......welcome to Something for the Weekend.......a chance to share something,
 anything............could be a crafty make, a recipe, a photo, a joke.......or just
something that makes you smile!
Leave me a comment so I can visit you back!
So today I'm sharing a photo.......my gorgeous Grandson Asher never fails to make me smile
& this is one of my favourite pics of him fast asleep in my arms....I so love snuggles with him!
He's such a happy little fella & has the most amazing blue eyes....can't believe he's 10
months old already!
I hope you're all well.......and those of you in the UK I hope you're enjoying the
Bank Holiday weekend......the last one til Christmas!! And isn't the weather just
typical Bank Holiday weather? Rain, dull grey skies & a little bit chilly! Not to worry
though cos I'm having a crafter-noon.......and a no-cooking day! One of my boys has a
birthday today so he's coming round for tea......and we're having Chinese takeout!!
Probably my favourite......followed by chocolate birthday cake lol!
Rightio, better go get on........and better get some extra chairs out too else they'll all
be standing up lol!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

p.s.......a big hello, thank you & welcome to my new followers.....I'll be visiting you back asap xx

A mix of die cuts & stamping, all (mostly)layered up with some black card & finished with a
few faux gems.......it looks so much prettier IRL!
Rightio, that's my lot for today.............having my Grandson come to stay later on, ooh I
love having him, I know I'm biased but he's the most gorgeous boy!

Thursday Throwback!

Hi friends.......happy Thursday, hope your week is going well!
It's dull & grey here, a slight drizzle but thankfully cooler.........perfect
weather for crafting methinks!
So as it's Thursday it's time for a Thursday Throwback pic......When I first started out on
this crafting journey I was more into scrap booking so this little card was a natural
follow on. A quite simple card with only  a couple of embellishments but oh my, I
remember how long it took to cut all those layers of decoupage lol....thank
goodness for die cut layers now! I did enjoy making it though & I remember the friend it
was for was ever so pleased with it.
If you fancy joining me on these Thursday Throwback posts just leave me a comment
so I know & can visit you back!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!

Hi friends......hope you're all well!
I had such a busy day yesterday, don't think I had 2 minutes to myself all day so
today I'm having a quick tidy up, putting tea in the slow cooker then it's
playtime! I really need to get my Christmas craft on but my head's so full of things
I want to try I don't know where to start lol!
So today I have another topper to share.....Christmas themed in  one of my favourite
combo's of kraft & white. Lots of die cut layers, a poinsettia, some foliage & finished
with some faux gems & a die cut sentiment. Quick, easy & quite pretty, I think!
Apologies for the pic.....the weather's really quite strange today.....sunshine, showers,
dull grey skies.......really warm then really cool.....light then dark and none of it
makes for a good photo. Think I might have to invest in a light box!
Thanks for calling......whatever you're up to have a good day!
See you tomorrow for Thursday Throwback!

Using up more Stash!

Hi friends.......hope you're well & your week has gotten off to a good start!
I've been on a mission to use up more bits from the bit box.......and the dies that
I used today are a great way to do that! I used my favourite black card for this
topper with the white for contrast. I love that they can be made in any colour
combo.......a couple of paper flowers to embellish & that's the job done.
I'm always trying to think of different ways to use my toppers and as with yesterdays
I think this one would look good in a frame or maybe on a decorated notebook...
......they can be left plain & simple or you can add lots more to them. It's an Xcut
die set & is so much more versatile than I first thought.
Rightio, better dash, got a busy day ahead.......it's shopping day, the boiler is
being serviced, a cat is at the vet's & I've a Dr appointment!!
Not enough hours in the day!
Thanks for calling & whatever you're up to.....hope your days a good one!

What's Cooking?

Hi friends.....happy Monday, here's hoping it's the start of a good week!
I have another apron card topper to share today, I say topper but I think it would
look quite good in a frame for a kitchen wall.....or maybe on the front cover of
a handmade recipe book? I love that they can be made to complement your
decor too.....but most of all I love that they're made from bits from the bit box!
I started with a base of my favourite black, added a layer of patterned paper then
just built up the die cut embellishments.
A few faux gems to match & that's it......job done.........think I might go
do some baking now!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Peace Love Joy

Hi friends, happy Friday!
Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend? I hope so......I think I might be
having my gorgeous grandson, Asher........can't believe he's 10 months old already.
Where does the time go?
Talking of time, I'm waayyy behind on Christmas makes this year. Trouble is I have so
much stash I don't know where to start! And one of my boys just bought me some
new stash that's not Christmas.....oh my, so much choice & just not enough hours in a
day lol! So I started with Christmas, decided to use up some older stash & here's what
I came up with......I made something similar last year and so love the tartan paper.
It's all made with die cuts & snippets, finished with a gem & nice & flat for posting too!
Rightio, that's me for today.....thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave.
See you over the weekend!

Thursday Throwback

Do you ever get low on inspiration? Fed up of making the same old thing?
Or do you just fancy a change? I do and one of the ways I try & get myself motivated
and inspired is to have a look back at past makes. Mostly I think oh my, did I really make that lol but every once in a while I see something I really loved & just didn't want to part with.....and sometimes
I see something that I just know I can improve on and just have to recreate.
So I decided I'm going to have a look back post every Thursday just to keep myself
motivated.....and sometimes just to have a little laugh.....and sometimes to remind myself just how far I've come on this crafting journey!
If you fancy joining me just leave me a comment letting me know then I can come visit
you back.........I'd love to have you along!

So for my first throwback I decided to share this sweet Tilda card, if I remember
rightly I'd only been blogging about a month & this is the first card I won a competition
with! I was so, so chuffed but oh heck, fussy cutting that image was a pain lol.
And look at that patchwork background! I still love to use up snippets that way!
Don't forget to leave me a comment if you can join in!

May all your wishes come true......

Hi friends, hope you're all well.
Can't believe we're almost halfway through August already......and I can't believe I
bought my first 2 Christmas presents the other day! Never too early though, right? Just
need to get cracked on with my Christmas makes now! First though, I have another
topper to share......all made with bits from the bit box in my favourite colour!
There's 4 die cut layers stacked up on foam pads with the sentiment stamped on the
top one then it's finished with a die cut flower with a faux pearl centre.

You can see the layers a little better in this photo.
Rightio, gonna grab a couple of hours at my desk before tea......thanks for
calling & for any comments you might leave......see you soon!

Anything Goes at Not Just Cards!

Hi crafty friends......hope you're all well & enjoying the cooler weather
as much as I am!
We have a new challenge just started over at Not Just Cards, the theme as always
is anything goes & if you're low on inspiration then please pop on over to the
blog & check out the fabulous Dt makes. It's a just-for-fun challenge but we do
have a top 3....you can make anything you want & enter up to 5 times!
I made a set of Christmas tags this time, a great way to use up all those odds &
ends us crafters have lying about. I simply die cut all the layers then finished with
a die cut gold snowflake topped with a faux pearl. The back was stamped with a
simple to/from & I threaded them with some string.
Rightio, that's my lot for today! Thanks for calling & for any comment you
might leave......hope to see you over at Not Just Cards!
