We're going on a bear hunt over at Crafty Calendar!

Morning friends......hope you're all well & warm....hasn't the weather

gotten cooler....mind you, I'm not complaining.....I love it!

So for today, as it's the 1st Saturday of the month, we have a new

challenge over at Crafty Calendar and this month the brief is

WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT!.....yep, we want to see a bear 

on your makes! As usual, any & all makes are welcome just so

long as you stick to the theme & you might just be the lucky winner

of a fabby prize from this months sponsor:

For my DT make I had a go at stamping on a candle....well, not actually

ON the candle....you know what I mean lol! I stamped onto tissue

paper, coloured the image then placed the image just where I

wanted it, covered with wax paper then used my heat gun to melt

the image to the candle......easy! For my first go, I'm quite chuffed

with it but let me tell you......it's sooooo addictive.....I think everyone

I know might well be getting one for Christmas!!!!

Rightio, that's it for today....I'm planning a lazy-stay-at-home

weekend.....the kids are all shattered and sooo out of routine so are having

 a nice, long sleep in.....I love those kind of days, don't you? A nice, quiet 

morning while they sleep then lots of laughs & nice food when they're

all up...........or home from work!

Just a quick post tonight to share a Christmas card I made with

a fabby free digi from Nikky over at Polka Doodles. All papers (Nitwits)

were free with a mag too so doesn't get much better than that lol! We

 were given a random image and i couldn't have been happier with mine....

she's gorgeous and that little face.....aw, she's just adorable! A few

punched snowflakes, a bit of twine & some gems were all the extras

I needed....and a bit of ink for the edges.....I even decorated the
 inside this time too!

My little (big) book of Christmas!

Morning friends.....hope you're all well!

Another bright but cool Autumn like morning here today.....and I love it!

I'm sharing my "Little (big) book of Christmas" today.....I make one 

of these every year, usually in the Summer hols but what with

illness etc., I've not managed it until yesterday! I use it for all things 

Christmas.......recipes, present lists, things to make & do......absolutely

anything to do with Christmas.......it'll be packed full of snippets & cuttings

 & things before long! It's A4 in size and usually is really traditional

....that's how I like Christmas....but this time I've gone for purple

 & black........Miss Rebecca's fav colours!

CAS with Nutcrafters!

Morning lovely bloggers....hope you're all well today!

Thanks for you're lovely comments on yesterday's photos......Chris came

home full of excitement about the pastry kitchen at College & Miss

Rebecca came home looking rather dishevelled, calling herself Talia & 

speaking German..........so a good day all round lol! 

So as it's Wednesday.....it's Nutcrafters day and we have a brand new

challenge......CLEAN & SIMPLE as chosen by lovely teamie Sylvia!

As usual, there's some fab prizes to be won:

2nd place....2 digi stamps or 1 stamp sheet of your choice

So the dreaded CAS.....but I actually enjoyed making this one...and

it was soooo quick! I used the gorgeous Santa face, part of the

new release Christmas portrait stamp set. mounted it onto a piece

of red card and that's it........no ribbon, no gems, no nothing!
Sorry about the blue tinge to the pic, lighting was terrible!

Morning lovely bloggers......and what a morning....my gorgeous

girl starts secondary school today and oh my, does she look grown up!

So in true proud Mama Jo fashion here's a little collage of her

all dressed up & ready to go!

 And not forgetting Chris who starts catering College today....but

he doesn't like to pose as much as Bex lol!

And last but not least, here's an attempt at a CAS card...why

oh why do I struggle so much with these, I see so many gorgeous

CAS makes in blogland but mine just look rubbish.....although I

LOVE the image & for once, I'm quite pleased with my colouring

and wow, wouldn't you love hair that colour IRL?

So that's it for today....I've no excuse now....I really have to do

Anything but a card with Lexi's Creations!

Good morning you lovelies.....hope you're all well! A gorgeous morning

again today.....and one of the kids back to college.....2 back tomorrow

 then another on Thursday......yay, more craft time lol!

So anyway, for today I'm sharing my DT make for the new challenge 

over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight we have the theme of 

ANYTHING BUT A CARD! A nice easy theme for you this time you

 have until September 14th to play and you could be the lucky winner of 

5 digis from Fairy Dust Crafts! For my DT make I had a go at a little

box scene....all guesswork, no measurements involved and this is how

it turned out...I'm quite pleased with it and can't wait to try it again!

I started with a scrap of blue card, die cut an aperture with a Spellbinder

nestie which I then used as a mat for the image, scored & folded down

 each side. Underneath the image you can just see some blue Christmas

paper....another scrap....then it was just a case of decorating the

front with the die cut trees, a snowman, snowballs and a pressie....oh

and the snowflakes at the top & the gems down the side!

So that's it from me for today....off to buy Nic some school shoes!

Non traditional Christmas colours at Sparkles Christmas challenges!

 Good morning lovely bloggers.....happy September 1st! 

There's a definite chill in the air this morning.....but I don't mind....I love this 

time of the year....I'll be much happier in the next 6 months than I've been 

in the last lol! Anyway, today's post is all about the new challenge over at

Sparkles Christmas challenges

where the theme....as chosen by me....is "NON TRADITIONAL COLOURS"

As usual, you have all month to play

and you don't have to make a card.......any crafty creation will do! And

Ooooh, I loved this challenge....while I'm very traditional when it comes

to Christmas I love all things gothic/dark and this is my favourite 

alternative Christmas image this year....isn't she gorgeous? She's called 

"Emo Christmas" and she's from Delicious Doodles.....although she

can be coloured very traditionally I went for pink/black (used to have my

hair that colour waaayyyy back) and yet again.....Miss Rebecca has

claimed this one lol! I coloured her with Spectrum Noir pens, used up some

scraps of paper, a giant die cut snowflake cut in half & glittered, a 

computer generated sentiment, a few pearls & that's it......oh, and

lashings of glitter........and yes, it did get everywhere lol! Rightio, off
