Winter Wishes

Hi friends, hope you're all well.

I can't believe it's February & I'm sat in my craft room with my sunglasses on!

 It's way too warm, way too bright........and I'm making Christmas cards!

Oh well, it's never too early, I suppose.

A layered snow globe topper this time in navy, blue & silver finished with a

die cut & some faux gems......simple but so pretty, I think.

Flowers with Crafty Cardmakers

Hi friends, happy Monday & welcome to the latest challenge over at

Crafty Cardmakers

where this time the theme, as chosen by Kim is 'FLOWERS'.

As usual, anything you like to make we like to see......cards, layouts, home decor

mixed media, jewellery......so long as it fits the theme the choice is yours.

Do pop over & check out the fabulous Dt makes, there's an amazing amount

of talent on our team, there's sure to be something to inspire you.

A topper from me this time, a base layer in white followed by a distressed

paper layer then a foiled frame around the beautiful floral image. Keeping it

 fairly simple I just added a sentiment & finished with a couple of faux gems.

Will you join my challenge?

Hi friends, hope you're all safe, well & warm.

It's a bit nippy over here on the Yorkshire Coast....perfect crafting weather I think, and

what better place to be than your craft room?

It's so good to be back in Blogland, I'm slowly but surely making my way

around all your blogs & feeling more inspired than ever......all I need now is an extra

 day in the week lol!

Anyway, as I mentioned in an earlier post I have a few ideas for my blog.....more

to keep me motivated than anything else....and one of those ideas was to have

a monthly challenge.....I even made a little blog badge to get me started!

Feel free to add it to your blog with a link back to mine!

Ooh I nearly forgot the fun part......here will be a monthly prize for a randomly

 drawn winner.......a surprise this month!

There are a few simple rules:

1.....You can enter just once

2.....You must be a follower of my blog

3.....New makes only, no back linking

4.....Challenge starts 4th of the month at 10am GMT

5.....Challenge ends 24th of the month at 10pm GMT

6.....One winner to be randomly drawn

7.....You must follow the monthly theme

 8.....You can make anything you like, doesn't have to be a card
but must include paper/card & follow the theme

As it's February for all you romantics out there the first theme just has to be

 'LOVE' . 

So to kickstart the challenge, here's my make.........I kept it very simple this time

and made a topper. I thought it might work on a scrapbook layout or even work

 as a piece of home decor too. All the elements are from Studio Light & I simply

layered them up........some flat & some on foam pads. I love the chalkboard effect

but I do have to say it looks much prettier IRL.

Using up more Stash!

Hello! Another lovely day here, how many times have I said that over the last couple

of weeks? And more line dried washing.........oh, it does smell good!

Another pair of decoupage flower to share today......plain & simple but so pretty, there's

3 layers, a sentiment & a couple of faux gems to finish.

Rightio, better get a wiggle on......don't know where the time has gone today....or

maybe it's just me being too slow lol. Thanks for calling & for any comments you might

Enjoy the Little Things

Good morning crafty friends, hope you're all well.

Another sunny day here today & while I don't enjoy the heat I do love it when I can throw

 open the patio doors & windows, hang out the washing & watch the cats rolling around

 in the garden. I think today's topper is quite apt as I really do enjoy the little things!

On the health front son is improving daily & I have another couple of hospital

appointments for March.....both quite late in the afternoon so I suspect there'll be quite a

 wait, not like last week- I'd only just got sat down they called me in!

Anyway, enough waffle from me.......today's topper sees me using up more stash, this time

 elements from the hand lettering collection by Studiolight. I usually like to layer

 these elements up using foam pads but this time I thought to keep them flat for posting.

 I simply distressed a couple of pieces with my craft  knife, layered onto some black card

 & finished with a few faux gems!

Rightio, that me for today.....got lots to be getting on with.
