Paper Frosting Friday & Christmas in July day 5!

Morning crafty friends, hope you're all well.
Here we are at Friday again, this year is whizzing past so, so fast I think
I might get left behind if I'm not careful!
So, in my little corner of Blogland Friday means Paper Frosting day, (my
name for the little paper embellishments I like to make) and as I'm challenging
myself to make only Christmas themed makes in July I'm going to combine the two.
Paper Frosting doesn't need to be difficult, it can be as fussy & fancy, as CAS or
as basic as you like......there's no rules. I chose to go the simplest route today, just
basic shapes in lovely colours.......they can be used for allsorts - card making,
scrapbooking, use them in your journal, your planner, for home decor.....
really, there's no limits.......and it's a great way to use up your scraps!

Simple mating & layering, on foam pads for a bit of extra dimension, then
I added the die cut snowflakes.....a Tim Holtz chit chat word sticker & a
faux pearl to finish.....so simple but I love them.
Later on in the month I'll show you how I like to use them.
Rightio, that's my lot for today.....thanks for calling & for any comments
you might leave.....have a lovely day.
See you tomorrow!

Paper Frosting Friday!

Woohoo.....it's Friday! Probably my favourite day of the week, I should
maybe change it to AsherDay as it's the day I have my gorgeous grandson..
....and I get to keep him overnight too. After tea we have bathtime, oh my,
that boy loves water...then it's snuggle time before bed. Tomorrow we might
have a lazy day at home or we'll maybe go shopping depending on the
weather.........but whatever we decide to do it'll involve lots of cuddles.
So being Friday it's also Paper Frosting Friday....the day of the week for me
to share some handmade embellishments. Why Paper Frosting?Well,I just
think embellishments is a bit of a mouthful & Paper Frosting sounds much
nicer! Today I have some beautiful white poinsettias to share.....very quick &
easy I simply die cut all the elements needed, glued them all together &
finished each one with a faux pearl. The base layer is either silver x 3 &
gold x 3....just cos it's a bit more Christmas like lol.
If you have any Paper Frosting to share do leave me a comment so's I can
come have a look.....I'd love to see.
Thanks for calling today, whatever you're up to have a lovely day.

Paper Frosting Friday!

Hi friends, happy Friday....it's a beautiful day here on the Yorkshire Coast, the
sun is shining, the sky is blue......and it's Paper Frosting Friday.....my
day of the week to share some home made embellishments......don't you think
paper frosting sounds much nicer?
Anyway. I have the simplest of makes to share today.....super quick & easy & a great
way to use up some scraps. I used kraft card & more of the pages from my damaged
Harry Potter book.......but I promise that'll be the last for a while now lol.
I used only scallop & circle dies, heart dies & finished each one with a faux pearl.
Thanks for visiting & for any comments you might leave, I appreciate them so
much......whatever you're up to hope you have a lovely day.

Paper Frosting Friday!

Hi crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well.
I know I say it every week but oh my, don't these Friday's come around quick?
So it's Paper Frosting Friday again......the day I share my handmade embellishments...
......why paper Frosting? Well, just because embellishments is such a mouthful.....
and Paper Frosting sounds so much nicer, I think.
So this week I have some handmade flowers to share. I made these with some leather
offcuts and a Harry Potter book that was sadly water damaged & I couldn't bring myself
to throw it away. I started with a die cut leather base, added layers of die cut book
pages & finished with a faux pearl centre. It's quite hard to see all the layers in the pic
but IRL when they're all scrunched up they look so good.
Here's a close up:
Rightio, that's me for today.....thanks for calling & for any comments you might
leave......have a lovely weekend.

Paper Frosting Friday!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.....and welcome to Paper Frosting Friday!
Today I have some Halloween frosting to share.....a set of mason jars filled with some
perfectly scary Halloween creatures.......just right for cards, layouts, journals,
maybe even good for a home decor project!
To make I simply stamped then die cut the mason jar, added the die cut filling, added
some faux gems then finished with some bakers twine tied around the jar top!
Rightio, that's my lot for today.....looking forward to having my Grandson  later.
Thanks for calling & whatever you're up to......have a lovely day!

Paper Frosting Friday #3

Hi crafty friends......hope you're all well!
Oh my, you wouldn't believe how hot it is here today.......not good for me but I hope it continues for those of you who enjoy the heat! I'll be locked away in my craft room with the fan blowing so it's a win win situation all round lol!
Anyway, welcome to Paper Frosting Friday #3.....my attempt to use up lots of bits of stash to make my own embellishments for cards, scrapbooks etc., ......and I decided to call them Paper
Frosting! This week I made some paper flowers......the paper I used must be one of the oldest packs I have in my stash....it's a pearlised paper in pinks blues, greens & yellows & looks so much prettier IRL. I left them all plain but you could ink the edges, emboss the paper, stamp on it.........lots of options. I also kept them fairly open but have tried adding more layers for a more closed look flower.....and they look amazing!
Rightio, better get a move on, I'm hoping to see my Grandson today! Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave......and don't forget to let me know if I've inspired you to use up some bits of your stash......I'd love to see what you've made!

Paper Frosting Friday #2

Hi crafty friends......happy Friday......these weeks sure are flying past!
More paper frosting to share today........thought I'd share a Halloween set, maybe a
little early in the year but it's always best to be prepared lol!
It's quite a big set but it could have been HUGE as once I started I just couldn't stop lol!
Ok, I'll be honest.......I didn't stop and had to split it into 2 lots!!
The ideas were coming thick & fast  and I used up so many bits & pieces......it really was great
fun to make........I used mine mainly for scrapbook pages but it would work just as well
on cards......think I might get me a head start on this year's Halloween!
Rightio, that's my lot for today, got lots to do. Thanks for calling & for any comments
you might leave......see you tomorrow!

Paper Frosting - Love/Valentine

Hi friends......happy Friday!
Well, dare I say it.......it feels like Spring may be making its mark in my neck of the woods,
yesterday was a lovely day & today seems much the same.....a little chilly but at least we have no rain or snow. Let's hope it lasts a little longer cos it sure is good to get the washing out on the line!
It's the simple things in life that please me lol!
So for today I have some more Paper Frosting to share......these were part of a love/Valentine collection I made. All using bits from my bit box, some Tim Holtz chit chat stickers & a few gems I simply layered up some die cut shapes......a great way to use up those little bits that we don't want to throw away!
Rightio, that's me for today......thanks for calling in & for any comment you might leave.
Have a lovely day & I'll see you tomorrow!

Paper Frosting!

Hi friends......Friday already!
Do you have something nice planned for the weekend?
Hopefully a couple of hours here & there in the craft room for me, I'm in a real scrapbooking mood right now so I'll probably have a rummage through the pile of photos waiting to be scrapped. I was lucky enough to receive a Gemini junior for Mother's Day & I have to say it's the best die cutting machine I've ever used! So quick & easy......and fairly quiet too......it's a real pleasure to use & so far it's cut everything I've put through it first time!

So for today I have some scrapbook embellishments to share.....only I've decided I'm not gonna call them embellishments, it's too long winded so I'm calling them Paper Frosting.....kind of like the icing on the cake......only in paper! What do you think?  As usual, I made far too many.............once I started I just couldn't stop lol!
They were fun to make though & I used up lots of scraps too.
Rightio, better get on.....lots to do if I want a crafty weekend. Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave......see you soon.
