Thursday Throwback!

Hi crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well......and welcome to Thursday Throwback! My weekly look back at past makes.....would you make the same again.....or would you rather not lol. Today I'm sharing a necklace I made, the images are from the fabulous Oddball Art & are from my colouring days when I was a member of their Dt. I coloured them on shrink plastic, used my heat gun to shrink them......I remember being so happy with them as this was the first time I'd used shrink plastic with any success. I love how the colours intensify when the image is shrunk and you don't lose any of the detail.
I took quite a long length of beading elastic & threaded on seed beads & pearl....hundreds of 'em lol.....added
the charm to the pendant with a jump ring then attached them to the necklace.......done!
I'm still happy with this make, I made it for my daughter but sadly I don't think I'd make anything like this again with these arthritic hands of mine. It is nice to look back though. Do you fancy joining me?
Would love it if you did......just leave me a comment so's I know to come visit you back.
Rightio......jobs awaiting......thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback!

Hi friends, hope you're all well  warm....there was a definite nip in the air last night!
Welcome to Thursday Throwback where I'd love you to share your past makes...
......do you still love them.....would you change anything.......or would you
rather not admit to making them lol! As usual, if you'd like to join me just leave
me a comment so's I can come visit you back.
As Halloween is almost upon us I thought I'd share some ATC's I made a fair
few years ago....I'm not sure where the image is from, maybe Dilly Beans?
The tombstone was die cut & coloured with promarkers, the mesh background
was from one of the £ shops & the letters were stickers.
Rightio, better go get something done if I want an hour (or two) in the
craft room later. Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback

Hi friends, hope you're all well......and welcome to Thursday                                       Throwback, my weekly look back at past crafty makes. I think it's fun to have a look back & see how our styles have changed. Do you still like your make? Would you change anything? Or would you rather not be reminded lol.
If you fancy joining me then please leave me a comment so I can come have a look too.

This week I'm looking back at a mixed media canvas I made for my bedroom, I think it was
about three and a half years ago......and I still love it, it still hangs on my bedroom wall!
I used tissue paper, gesso, paint, paper, beads, caran d'ache crayons, ric rac, Tim Holtz word stickers......you name it, it's probably on there somewhere lol
Here's a pic from the very start, I'd primed the canvas, drawn the half heart shape then added the scrunched up tissue using lots of gesso
And here's a pic of the finished canvas
Thanks for calling & for any comment you might leave....see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback - Bella

Hi friends, hope you're all well.
Thursday already.......so that means time for a throwback pic.......thought I'd go
with kitty pics today as so many of you ask how they're all doing.
This is Bella when she was first born, she's 2 and a 1/2 now & she's the sweetest,
snuggliest, laziest cat you could ever meet! She'll happily spend all day on my chair
& all night snuggled next to me.........unless.........she can get into a bag, box or any
thing similar! Oh, and she's a bit of a poser too lol.....she loves having her photo
taken!
Here she is in one of her favourite places........a paper grocery bag!
I think shopping day is her favourite day......we have to empty the bags
straight away else she'll get in them whether they have veg in them or not!
If you have any throwback pics you'd like to share do let me know so I
can come visit you too......and don't forget there's still time to enter my
Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave......see you tomorrow.

Thursday Throwback!

Hi crafty bloggers, hope you're all well.
'Tis a beautiful breezy day here on the Yorkshire Coast......blue skies, warm enough that you don't need a jacket.........and washing blowing on the line........doesn't take much at all
to make me happy!
So as it's Thursday it's time to have a look back at our past makes....can be any kind of make,
it's always fun to look back, I think. Would you make the same thing again today? Maybe
tweak it a little bit? Or definitely not, no way, never lol?
My throwback this week is a birthday card I made for my Daughter a few years ago.

I wouldn't make it again though......because I've still got it! Rebecca loved it that much
I popped it in a frame & decorated the frame to match!

The image is D'Arcy's Diaries, coloured with Copics, the papers are Gorjuss, the
sentiment LOTV. I distressed & crackle painted the frame, added lots of die cuts and
made some paper flowers.
If you fancy joining me leave me a comment so's I can come visit you.
Thanks for calling.......see you tomorrow.

Don't forget.......I have CANDY if you'd like to enter.

Thursday Throwback!

Hi friends, hope you're all well & having a good week.
It's been a strange kind of week here and before I knew it it's Thursday.....and
I've not done anything I planned.......I guess I shouldn't have made any plans lol!
So, as it's Thursday you know what that means......Throwback time! My weekly look
back at past makes......if you fancy joining me just let me know in the comments then
I can come visit you back.......I'd love to see!
I'm sharing a couple of tags today...... I reckon they were made about 6 years ago
and I still like them now. Super quick & easy I simply used up some snippets of white
card, embossed some, die cut others then layered them all together and finished
with a snowflake & some paper ribbon.
Oooh, I'm feeling all Christmas-like now......think I feel a Christmas card
coming on lol.
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback!

Gosh, don't these weeks roll by quickly?
Thursday already which means time for another Thursday Throwback post......my weekly
look back at previous crafty makes to see how far I've come............or not, as the
case may be lol! If you fancy joining me do leave me a comment so I can come
visit you back!
Today I'm looking back over one of the 1st mixed media pieces I made......a blank canvas, I
simply sprayed various coloured inks along the top & let it drip down, whilst it was
still slightly damp I lightly sprinkled glitter over it. Once dry I added the die cut butterfly,
sentiment & jewel drops! Quick, easy & great fun and gave me the courage to try
more mixed media!
Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave,,,,,,see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback!

Hi friends.......happy Thursday, hope your week is going well!
It's dull & grey here, a slight drizzle but thankfully cooler.........perfect
weather for crafting methinks!
So as it's Thursday it's time for a Thursday Throwback pic......When I first started out on
this crafting journey I was more into scrap booking so this little card was a natural
follow on. A quite simple card with only  a couple of embellishments but oh my, I
remember how long it took to cut all those layers of decoupage lol....thank
goodness for die cut layers now! I did enjoy making it though & I remember the friend it
was for was ever so pleased with it.
If you fancy joining me on these Thursday Throwback posts just leave me a comment
so I know & can visit you back!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Thursday Throwback

Do you ever get low on inspiration? Fed up of making the same old thing?
Or do you just fancy a change? I do and one of the ways I try & get myself motivated
and inspired is to have a look back at past makes. Mostly I think oh my, did I really make that lol but every once in a while I see something I really loved & just didn't want to part with.....and sometimes
I see something that I just know I can improve on and just have to recreate.
So I decided I'm going to have a look back post every Thursday just to keep myself
motivated.....and sometimes just to have a little laugh.....and sometimes to remind myself just how far I've come on this crafting journey!
If you fancy joining me just leave me a comment letting me know then I can come visit
you back.........I'd love to have you along!

So for my first throwback I decided to share this sweet Tilda card, if I remember
rightly I'd only been blogging about a month & this is the first card I won a competition
with! I was so, so chuffed but oh heck, fussy cutting that image was a pain lol.
And look at that patchwork background! I still love to use up snippets that way!
Don't forget to leave me a comment if you can join in!
