Using up some Stash!

Hello crafty friends, hope you're all well.
'Tis a bit blustery here in my little part of the Yorkshire Coast but we have
beautiful blue skies.......really does feel like Spring is in the air!
I feel a Spring clean coming on but first.......time to use up some stash then
hopefully I'll have less to clean lol!
The paper pad I used for this card was a freebie with a mag....such lovely papers,
I can't believe they've sat on a shelf unused for so long! A DL sized card, I simply
cut & layered the papers onto white card after I'd inked the edges then did the same
with the die cut butterflies. I added the Tim Holtz chit chat stickers then finished
with  a faux pearl in the centre of each butterfly.
Lots to do so I better get on......thanks for calling....see you soon

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.

To kickstart your crafty week we have a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers

Anything you like to make we like to see (as long as it fits the theme) and
if you're looking for inspiration then do pop on over to the main blog.........we
have a fab Dt with a real good mix of styles.

A simple card from me I started with a 'swoosh' of green ink then simply
stamped a sentiment, added a die cut fern leaf & finished with a little string bow.

Own Your Dreams

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well, warm & safe.
I have a card to share today, I made this for my sons girlfriend & thankfully
she loved it! A 5x5 card base, I added a snippet of striped paper from the scrap
box. For the topper I simply 'swooshed' some ink, added a dream catcher cut
from holographic card then cut another so I could layer the feathers. I added a
word sticker from Tim Holtz then finished with a little gem. The dream catcher is
another unused die so I can join Wendy's challenge with this make too!
Rightio, that's me for today......lots to do so I'll thank you for popping in and
for any comments you might leave......have a lovely day!

Challenge #2 Love Is In The Air

Hi  friends, welcome to my latest challenge and as it's February the theme just had to be

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

We all need a little love in our lives and what better way to show it than with a
handmade card?

For my card I started with a kraft base, added a cream card layer then a distressed
paper layer. I die cut the hearts from kraft then pieced a few back in. I added the
die cut words, also in kraft then finished with a couple of faux pearls.

Feeling Floral!

Hi crafty friends, welcome to my cold, windy & wet corner of the
Yorkshire Coast. Hope you're all warm & well. Don't think I'll be venturing
much further than the craft room this weekend!
Today I have a little card to share. The beautiful papers & layered topper
are from the Paper Posies collection by Dovecraft. Such a beautiful
collection featuring decoupage toppers, paper pads, puffy stickers, wooden
hearts & wooden tags ......and lots more too!
I distressed the papers, layered everything onto black card & finished with
some gorgeous flowers then placed it all onto a 6x6 card blank.
Rightio, that's me for today.....thanks for calling & for any comments
 you might leave.....see you soon!
Don't forget, there's still time to enter my Love Is In The Air challenge.

Crafty Cardmakers - Love is All You Need!

Hello!
We have a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers today, the theme is

LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED

Should be a nice, easy theme with Valentines Day just around the corner and as
usual, we love to see any & all makes.....and if you're in need of inspiration
then please pop on over and have a look at the fabulous Dt makes....we're
a real varied lot so there will definitely be something for everyone!

My brief this time was a Valentine's card but not traditional, not sentimental or
lovey dovey and definitely no red and/or pink! Took me a while to come up
with an idea but finally I got there! I layered up black, orange and
white card.......added the die cut sunshine, stamped the sentiment and
finished with a hand drawn smiley face.....job done. It makes me smile every
time I look at it!

Thanks for calling today, hopefully I'll be back tomorrow!

Black & White with Crafty Cardmakers!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.
Apologies for not posting & commenting, I've been a bit under the weather these
last few days.......hopefully I'll be able to catch up with you all soon.

So.......there's a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers with the theme of
BLACK & WHITE
A nice, easy challenge I thought then my mind went blank! Once I got going
I loved making this card.....I managed to pack in a few layers but still keep
it looking fairly CAS. I used my old favourite banner dies & then as per Wendy's
challenge I used a never been used yet quote die from Hunkydory.
Love how these make for a quick, easy card. I finished with a faux gem.

If you fancy joining us then do pop on over to the main blog, we'd love to see
you......and if you're low on inspiration you'll certainly find some there!

Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave....see you soon.

Another Memorydex Card

I love making these Memorydex cards, they're such a great way to use up any bits & bobs
from the scrap box and they look so pretty on the Rolodex.
For this one I used papers from the Craftwork Cards pad - Heritage Rose - my favourite
base of black card. I cut & layered the butterflies with my Xcut dies, added a
banner die and finished with Tim Holtz stickers.
Short & sweet today as time's getting on & I have lots to do.....thanks for calling,
have a lovely weekend.....see you soon.

Love is in the Air......

Hey lovelies, hope you're all well.
I've been having a little tidy up in the craft room and I came across some papers
from the Making Cards magazine.......dated February 2017!! I remember using
some back then but had forgotten I had a couple left. Well, it would be rude
not to use them, don't you think?
5 dies used as per Wendy's challenge.....I'll definitely be keeping all of them!
Black & red card from the scrap box, flowers from my stash & the sentiment was
computer generated. Love how this one turned out......now all I need is to figure out
how to take a straight photo lol. All these years  and  I'm now struggling!
Even when I edit it it still doesn't look straight..........or maybe it's me that's wonky?
Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave and don't forget,
there's still time to enter my SOMETHING NEW challenge here.

Love is in the air.....

Hello lovelies, hope you're all well.
Another grey, wet & miserable day here......not that I'm complaining, I much prefer
this weather to the heat!
I've found myself making more & more CAS style cards lately, especially ones using
dies. I do still love my layers but there's just something kinda nice about CAS......plus
once I get going it's a lot quicker!
Anyway, 2 dies & a stamp is all I used on this card......and the card was from my scrap
drawer too! Apologies for the colour of the card.......IRL it's brilliant white but this
weather is making everything look a bit 'off'!

Thanks for calling & whatever you're up toI hope you manage some craft time.
Don't forget......my challenge SOMETHING NEW is here.

Wendy's Challenge

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.
Wednesday already and time to share another make and join in with
Wendy's challenge where she's challenging us to use our dies. It's a great
way to sort our dies out & see which ones we actually do use.
Today's die was brand new, still in the packet so I really did need to use
it........and it's a keeper! I think it's so pretty and although it came with the
'with love'  sentiment  would be so easy to change either for another sentiment
or to stamp in the centre.....so many possibilities. It's a Sweet Dixie die and
measures approx 4 inches square.

Thanks for calling......have a lovely evening and don't forget, my challenge
SOMETHING NEW is here.

Thank You

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well & warm this dull, grey, windy & damp
morning. A couple of crafty hours for me today before the troops descend
for tea.......do you have anything nice planned?
A thank you card to share today.......I love sending a thank you card, much nicer
than a text or an email......don't get me wrong, a thank you is nice in any form but
for me I love taking the time to make something. Simple matting and layering
for this one.....a die cut banner & a little floral element finished with a faux gem.
The papers & topper were from Making Cards magazine....so pretty and so
useful too.....there's always something suitable for most occasions with this mag.

Rightio, better get a move on......thanks for calling & don't forget......my
challenge SOMETHING NEW is here.

Wendy's Challenge

Hi crafty friends......'tis a cold, grey, windy & wet day here on the Yorkshire
Coast.......a perfect day for crafting, I think!
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my failed attempt at a
shaker card.......I think I'll have to have another go soon, can't let it beat me!
Or maybe I'll just leave them well alone lol.
Blog buddy Wendy over at Spanish Crafter has set a challenge to use a die on every
post......I'd love to join her but don't think I can manage every day so I'm going to
try & join in every week. I used an unbranded die I've had in my stash
for ages......wasn't quite sure about it but once I cut it I loved it.....will definitely
be keeping this one!  The background is acrylic paint, I stamped the sentiment, added
the die cut then mounted on black card then white.
Thanks for calling......see you soon.

Don't forget, my challenge SOMETHING NEW is here.

When is a shaker not a shaker?

Answer: when I try to make one!
Got myself in such a pickle I abandoned the shaker element and just stamped
where  the shaker should have been! Quite pleased with the outcome
though......I used the Crafters Companion enchanted Christmas card kit that came
free with the Papercrafter magazine last year....ooh, it's lovely....lots of sparkly,
glittery elements, papers, sequins, an embossing folder and the most
beautiful stamps....and such fab quality too.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend....thanks for calling & I'll see you tomorrow.

It's Never Too Early To Make A Christmas Card!

Is it too early?
Head says yes. it's way too early.....heart says no, I love it so start as early as I
like......so I have!

This must be the simplest Christmas card I've ever made.....and I love how it turned out.
I think this is a batch card for sure & there's so many options for colours I can't wait to
 make a few more!
