Something for the Weekend!

Hi crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well.
So it's Saturday already which means......welcome to 'Something for the Weekend'!
Come share something with me.....could be a crafty make, a photo, a joke,
anything you'd like to share I'd like to see!

I was going to share a non crafty make today but was so pleased with these little toppers
I just had to share them! Why? Well, because I got all 3 toppers from one sheet, 1 piece of
paper and 1 sheet of gold mirri card......and I still have some left! So now I'm
thinking I might have to challenge myself more to see just how much I can get from so
little......watch this space lol. Not sure where the topper sheet came from, it must be
quite old......I'm on a mission to use up old stash, only thing is I never seem to get to the
end of anything. Some of the kits you can buy nowadays have so much in them, I suppose
that's a good thing in one way but sometimes I do end up with quite a lot left. Still, I'm
not complaining, it just means I have to have a good sort out every so often & when I
find something I forgot I had it's like having something new all over again!
Enough waffling from me, thanks for calling & whatever you're up to....
have a lovely weekend!

Something for the Weekend!

Morning crafty friends & bloggers, welcome to 'Something for the Weekend'.....the perfect
time to share something......anything you want, doesn't have to be crafty!
I have a card topper to share today....all pink & silver & black with lots of foiling too
although that doesn't show up too well in the photo, it's so much prettier IRL.
I was debating whether or not to put this on the front of a notebook so it could be used
as one of those books that people sign & leave a little message in at parties.
Or I could make it into a card & make a notebook as well.....ooh, I've got a head
full of ideas now lol!
Nothing much planned here today, was going to have a wander around town with
my grandson but it's cold, dark & ever so wet so might have to have a rethink on that.
Do you have anything nice planned?
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow.

Something for the Weekend!

Hi friends.......welcome to 'Something for the Weekend'!
My share this weekend is a furry one lol.....some of you might know I'm a bit
of a crazy cat lady........and I think one of my boys uses that to his advantage lol.
So when Willow needed a home he literally just turned up with her......then about 3 weeks
later he arrived with her brother, Dash..........how could I refuse those sweet faces?
They're now 6 months old & they really are the sweetest kittens, they get on so well with the others, they love snuggles, spiders......and worms!! And when they purr
it sounds like a  freight train going past!!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend.....and if you want to share 'Something for the
Weekend' do leave me a comment so I can come visit you too.
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow.

Something for the Weekend!

Morning crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well......and welcome to
Something for the Weekend!
Today I have a Christmas card to share.......all pink & gold & shiny.....so
not me lol but I have to say I love it! I started with a base of gold mirri card
then added elements from a Studio Light sheet. Of course, I couldn't stop there
and so I added more gold die cuts & finished with a couple of faux gems.
I'm loving the Studio Light booklets, they offer so much and you can make them
as simple as you like or add to them as much as you like......and there's a
fantastic range too.....booklets for all occasions!
Rightio, that's me for today........off for a wander around the town.
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Something for the Weekend!

Morning crafty friends, welcome to Something for the Weekend!
Do you have anything nice planned? We have a shopping day planned for today
then tomorrow it's craft, craft & more craft!
So this Something for the Weekend is a 16th birthday card topper. It measures approx
5x5 square so will sit nicely on a 6x6 card blank. I used mostly bits & bobs & just
a few faux gems to finish! Papers are from Craftwork Cards, the bunting die is
Marianne, the punches I have no idea.....I think they're older than some of my
children lol! Number dies are Memory Box & the 'sweet' die was an Ebay buy.
Better dash......got a busy day ahead. Thanks for calling, have a lovely day!

So today I'm sharing a photo.......my gorgeous Grandson Asher never fails to make me smile
& this is one of my favourite pics of him fast asleep in my arms....I so love snuggles with him!
He's such a happy little fella & has the most amazing blue eyes....can't believe he's 10
months old already!
I hope you're all well.......and those of you in the UK I hope you're enjoying the
Bank Holiday weekend......the last one til Christmas!! And isn't the weather just
typical Bank Holiday weather? Rain, dull grey skies & a little bit chilly! Not to worry
though cos I'm having a crafter-noon.......and a no-cooking day! One of my boys has a
birthday today so he's coming round for tea......and we're having Chinese takeout!!
Probably my favourite......followed by chocolate birthday cake lol!
Rightio, better go get on........and better get some extra chairs out too else they'll all
be standing up lol!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Something for the Weekend!

Hi crafty friends......welcome to 'Something for the Weekend'!
So what do you think to this weather then? Can't believe we're having a run of sunshine.......
......let's hope it lasts a good while longer!
For this weekend I thought I'd share a pic of one of our cats.....this handsome boy is Tom, he's a year old, all grey and he's huge! He's a strange one though, is our Tom....he doesn't like
cuddles but he loves to have the side of his head rubbed lol..........and he's loud......very loud! He's always 1st to the food bowl......and the last to come in!
Rightio, it's a crafty afternoon for me......hope you manage some time doing what you love!
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

I'm gonna have myself a crafty afternoon!
But first I have my 'Something for the Weekend' make to share.....a little mixed media card
topper this time, I stamped, inked, embossed, die cut, splatted & sprayed and finished with a shiny silver embossed heart! Had myself a right messy old time.........and I'm quite pleased

Something for the Weekend - Let's Bake!

Hi friends......welcome to Something for the Weekend!
This weekend it's food related.....not good for my waistline but good fun to make!
I've been in a baking mood for a good few weeks now.....cakes, fudge, flapjack, chocolates...
......all the things I know are bad for you (eeek!) but I figured a little bit of what you fancy
doesn't do you any harm......right? And in my house nothing lasts long enough to cause me
any serious problems lol!
I made a card topper, a little bit shabby in style using my favourite kraft card.......and more
bits from my bit box! Everything was die cut then simply layered onto a piece of floral
paper with distressed edges & finished with a few faux pearls.
So after I'd finished the topper I made some cupcakes.....I'd originally planned one big
cake but I figured if I made cupcakes I'd have more chance of controlling the portion size!
Here's my Coffee & Walnut cupcakes
I have to say they looked much better in real life and oh my, they tasted delicious!
The sponge was moist & delicious, the coffee flavour topping was sooooo good & then the
walnut to finish was just perfect!
Thanks for calling, have a lovely weekend & whatever you're up to hope you manage
a crafty hour......or two!
