June Day 30......

Well here we are on day 30 of Karoove's fantastic blog
every day in June challenge......and I made it lol! I'd planned on ending
with the double but my little miss is still feeling poorly & with 7 of
us in the house when one gets ill the others usually follow.......and
follow they did!! So sadly no crafting time for me at all this weekend...I've
been on bucket duty instead!
I'm gonna miss this challenge, it's been lovely sitting down every
evening & blogging, I've "met" some lovely ladies & picked up some
fab hints & tips & seen the most gorgeous creations.
So what are the very last prompts:
June Day 30: What does crafting mean to you
OR
Craft something that has an age theme

So what does crafting me to me......well for the last few years I've
spent a lot more time at home.....and crafting has definitely
saved my sanity lol! It's my little escape, I've crafted through some oh, so
tough times and no doubt I will again. It's something I look forward to
every day....sometimes an hour at night, sometimes very early morning
while everyone else sleeps, sometimes, very rarely, a whole afternoon!
I usually craft to very loud rock music, the
dog usually curls up at my feet, the cats on my desk(?) and the kids
wander in & out. Although it's my hobby they all play a part &
all of them like to know what I'm up to! It's something I share
with my daughter, Rebecca......after 5 boys along she came and
thankfully she shares my 2 favourite things to do....craft & read!
It's something that's always there, doesn't have to cost a lot - usually
does but I like to re-purpose things too and that can save on the pennies!
But the best part of crafting has got to be the sharing....every
crafter I've ever met, whether IRL or in blogland, have been
so kind, generous & friendly and since I started blogging I've met
people all over the world....one I'm hoping to meet for real this Summer!
So that's it, day 30, a whole month has passed and so the very last
thing I'd like to say is a big thank you to Kairen for organising this
challenge and fingers crossed there'll be a next time!!

June Day 29......

Hi guys....hope you're well & having a great weekend!
No crafting for me today....Miss Rebecca woke up this morning
feeling poorly so I've been in charge of the bucket!!!!
So what's the prompts for today?
June Day 29:
If you could start your crafting life over, what would you do different
OR
Craft something that has a beach theme

I think if I could start my crafting life over then I'd make sure I finished
EVERY project I ever started lol. I have far too many unfinished
things......and not just papercraft either....knitting, cross stitch, sewing....but
I am trying to catch up......honest!!
I would definitely think twice about what I bought. I love having a huge
stash but realistically I'm never gonna use a lot of it.
Oh, and I definitely would have started blogging earlier....that's
turned into a huge part of my crafting life & I love it!
See you tomorrow :)

June Day 28......

I've been such a busy bee today I don't know where the day's
gone! School run, decorating, trip into town & sorting out a costume
for Miss Rebecca's end of term play.....all done now and time for a
sit down and a cuppa....and maybe a biscuit or two!
So what are the prompts for today?
June Day 28:  If you had 3 wishes what would they be
OR
Craft something to celebrate a new home

Well the 1st of the 3 wishes is easy......I'd wish my eldest son
fit & well, just as he was before his strokes!
The 2nd would be a part time job for my 3rd son....he's still at college
and works 4 voluntary shifts in a charity shop but is desperate
for a paid job. He's a great son, polite, well mannered, honest,
reliable...everything you could wish for....yet he still
can't find a part time job. His dream is to own a little
book shop.......one day!!
My 3rd wish would be for just a little bit more time although
I am so determined to be more organised....and I'm gonna start
with the craft room. The thought is if I organise my craft room
properly them it would be easier to organise my time in the craft
room therefore I'd be much more productive....but as my son
said "You know what thought did......followed a muck cart
cos he thought it was a wedding!"
No time for the double today......see you tomorrow!

July next week, almost time for Summer break for the kids and it's raining
again! So much rain they've had to cancel Miss Rebecca's sports day!
Anyway, back to business lol! We have a new challenge over at
Christmas Stampin' All Year Long
and this week we want you to use this fabby photo as your inspiration.....

Christmas pudding.....the choice is yours! We're sponsored by
Di's Digi Designs

spend instore! As usual, there's some fab inspiration from the team over on
the main blog....here's what I made:
I love this digi image, she's from La La Land.....hope I've done it justice....and
I took my inspiration from the colours. I love traditional colours for Christmas
and just that pop of lime green made all the difference! The papers, are from
my scrapbox, ribbon, pins, snowflakes & gems are from my stash,
the sentiment is stamped and I used Spectrum Noirs!
Thanks for calling......see you soon!

June Day 27......

June Day 27: 3 of your best ever projects
OR
Craft something that's all white

That's a tough one cos I think the projects I'd choose as my
best are things I'd made a gifts......so I haven't shown pics of them!
Sooooooo, I've chosen 3 of my fav cards/digi pages:

I made this card using my favourite (at the moment) digi stamp.
Love all D'Arcy'sDiaries images, so gorgeous to colour too!

a digi layout of Miss Rebecca posing for the camera!
This LO was for a DT piece....the theme was buttons & bows..
....any excuse for Bex to pose!

my 4th son, Christian, after his 1st concert. He loved it, he's the one
on the left.....and no,
I didn't let him dye his hair blue.....he was only 13!

I've only ever made one white card, but wasn't sure about it so
ended up colouring it in! Not sure if this counts, but here it is anyway!

See you tomorrow!

June Day 26......

Well, they say time flies when you're having fun and that's so
true.....can't believe we're almost at the end of our
monthly blog-a-thon.............and I'm having great fun!
Todays prompts are:
June Day 26: What do you wish you were good at
OR
Craft something that has a Spring theme

Oh, there's lots I wish I were good at....probably too much
to list lol! Perhaps the main thing is....I'd like to organise my time
better....I can waste a morning pottering about and not actually
get much done but then other days everything is done in
record time, the tea is in the slow cooker and then I can craft.....those
are by far the better days! Craft-wise, it's the same old thing...
.....stamping & colouring! Some days I'm real happy with my work, other
days it goes straight in the bin! Rightio, off to hop around some
of your blogs then off to bed. See you tomorrow!
xx
