Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well.

Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend? We have nothing planned, it's been one heck of a week so we're just gonna see what happens.......wouldn't be surprised if it involved more kittens though, our little adoptee, Izzy looks HUGE!

First though, as it's Friday it's time to join in with Erika over at Snappycrafts & share an oldie.....craft style, that is! As it's been a busy birthday week in our household I decided to share a card I made for one of my sons a couple of years ago. I created the background with my Copics, the stamps are from Visible Image & the barbed wire fence is a die cut.

Rightio, that's my lot for today.....I've got a Dr's appt. soon then I think a gentle wander into time might be on the cards. Thanks for calling, have a lovely weekend & don't forget.......I have candy here if you fancy entering.

GD at Cardz 4 Guyz!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well. 

Thanks for all your lovely comments on yesterday's post, Mama Lola & her kittens are doing so well......although she did give us a bit of a fright yesterday when we peeked in on her & they were nowhere to be seen.....she'd taken herself & the babies & snuggled down behind the sofa!! She soon returned to the comfort of her little bed though!

So today I have a card for a male to share.....my GD make for the new challenge over at Cardz 4 Guyz where the theme is BIRDS. Any papercraft project is acceptable so long as it fits the theme & you can enter up to 3 different makes. And for inspiration there's a fab show of DT cards!

I started with a brayered inky background, stamped the birds & a sentiment then simply layered them all together onto some navy card!

Rightio, that's my lot for today, I have the food shopping to do! I'll be back tomorrow with

 some candy as it's my birthday......hope to see you then!

And then there were 5!!!!

Morning my lovely crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well.....sending hugs to those that need/want them.

You might remember I had great crafty plans for the weekend? I should have known really, cos me & plans just don't seem to go together lol! So there we were on Saturday, all sat around the table eating & waiting for Ant & Dec's Takeaway to start when we saw one of the cat house's moving....Lola's trying to get comfy, we thought.....5 minutes later the house was still moving so we had a little look........and there were 2 kittens.........then there were 3! But Mama Lola wasn't done.....after cleaning up her babies & having an hours rest out came 2 more!! Oh my, she's the coolest cat I know....I thought I had my babies easy at home on the sofa but Lola....wow, no fuss. no messing about & she's SO taken to motherhood....she's amazing & I feel so proud.....I do love our cats!

Look how tiny they are! All seem to be thriving & Lola's such a good Mama.

Now you won't believe what's coming next.........a few weeks ago a little black & white cat turned up at our home. The cutest cat, she has the prettiest face & she's so affectionate......and she didn't want to leave. My boys did everything they could to try & find her owner.......door knocked, advertised, the police, posters....sadly it seemed nobody was missing her. James took her to the vets sadly she wasn't chipped.......but she is pregnant! So now she's adopted us as her carers there's no way we're gonna let her down......we'll love her as our own, look after her & her babies but as soon as she's ready after the birth she'll be off the the vets because we ARE responsible pet owners & she will be neutered alongside our Lola bear. 

We did think maybe it's not our right to do that but as no one has claimed her we found that if we gave her over to a shelter she would be neutered anyway......and if the vet is happy to do it given the circumstances (and he is) then we're happy to pay for it.

F is for Friendship!

Hi my crafty friends, hope you're all well & enjoying the weekend!

Me? All plans went out the window but I'll share more about that tomorrow.

So today I have another page to share, this one for the Alpha/Dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn. This is my 3rd page & I'm so enjoying it. The letter was F & the twist was to use a heart!

My pages all seem to have a vintage/shabby theme to them........not planned that way but it makes me happy so I think I'll probably stick to it. I chose my F to stand for Friendship.... the pic I used makes me smile so much,  the little girl cuddling her friend...........and he looks like he's so not enjoying it lol............bet they grew up to be the very best of friends though.

I started with a corrugated cardboard base, a swipe of white acrylic & some distressed paper layers. some embellishments & finished with the dictionary definition......great fun to do, can't wait til I have a whole alphabet of pages!

Rightio, better go get some tea organised if we want to eat tonight! Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!

Share an Oldie this Friday!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.

Do you have something nice planned for the weekend? I'll be staying home tomorrow, I have some birthday cards to make & I need to get a wiggle on! It's my birthday on Wednesday, my 2nd son has his the day after then a week after it's my 5th son.......busy, busy, busy!!

Today being Friday though I wanted to join in with Erika over at Snappycrafts as she invites us to share an older craft make....all she asks is you visit leave her a comment so she can return the favour. 

My card is one I made for Miss Rebecca a couple of years ago. lots of die cuts & handmade paper flowers....... she loved it so much she wanted me to frame it!

It looks fabulous on her bedroom wall.....and luckily she still likes it as much now as she did then!

Playtime!

Hey lovelies, hope you're all well. 

Well, what a difference a day makes......today we've had sunshine so bright I had to close the blind in my craft room......and it was still too bright......typical British weather!

I did manage a little crafty playtime though.....a background created with my caran d'Ache water colours & my new stamp. I LOVE this stamp, it's from Woodware & I think I'm going to use it lots. I actually cut the stamp into 3 to make it easier to work with then stamped onto some snippets of paper, (the flower middle is book print) then cut each piece out leaving a small border. I then placed it all together & added a stamped sentiment to finish.....job done.
