Challenge #5 - Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Good morning crafty friends, hope you're all well.

I can't believe we're about to start the 5th challenge.....doesn't time

 fly when you're having fun.....and I sure am having fun! I thank you all

 so much for taking the time to join in with my challenges.

So, this time the theme is going to be......

LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE BOYS

boy's, men.......any age, shape or size......we love to make cards for the men 

in our lives & with Father's Day coming up her in the UK now is

the perfect time to get creating!

Here's my make......

I used some very old stash for this card, I think it was Papermania/Docrafts

and it's just some simple matting & layering with a decoupaged  panel

in the middle. I added a few extra die cuts & a couple of printed sentiments.

This month I'm so chuffed to have the lovely Sarah from Mallows Crafty Bits

joining me as Guest Designer........

I have been doing all kinds of handicrafts since I was small. 

Started with knitting, then machine sewing, cross stitch followed in the 80’s and then a 

craft kit from shopping telly started the paper crafting addiction.

Can’t get enough of it, although I have enough stash to last several lifetimes!!

You Are Amazing

Morning lovelies, hope you're well.

Are you coping with the heat? Thankfully there's a lovely breeze here today

which makes it a lot easier to cope.....and I have fans on full blast in my

craft room......so guess where I'm spending the day?

I'm not cooking today either, well, apart from roasting a chicken....I know,

I must be crazy in this heat but at least the salad we're having with it

takes no time....and no heat! The boys are busy in the garden, Rebecca's still in

 bed (party last night) and I'm sat at my desk......happy days.

Anyway, enough waffling from me......I have another topper to share today,

you might have noticed I have a bit of a pink theme going on but I promise I'll

mix it up a bit tomorrow lol. A black base, a Hunkydory image, paper from

Craftwork Cards finished with a little sentiment & a couple faux pearls.

So that's my lot for today......thanks for calling & any comments you might

On Your Special Day

Hi friends, hope you're all well......and haven't melted in this heat!

All I have to say is thank goodness I'm not a Snowman!! There's no escaping

it today.....even the craft room is protesting & while I might say 'Roll on Winter' 

I'm happy for all you sun lovers out there.

So today's topper is another quick & easy make.....and pink & black again,

think I'm on a bit of a roll with these colours although I do have a batch of

 Christmas card coming up that have not a dot of pink in sight.

Paper is Craftwork cards, flowers are a magazine freebie as, if I remember

rightly, is the sentiment. The layers are die cut & I finished with a few

faux pearls.

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.

Friday already, where do the weeks go? Have you anything nice planned for 

the weekend? Not much happening here, maybe an hour or two in the

garden if it's not too hot then the troops are descending for lunch on Sunday..

.....and hopefully I'll be having lots of snuggles with Asher.

So today's make is another quick & easy topper.....I started with a base of

 white hammer card, a black layer then the Hunkydory image. I finished with

a 'with love' embellishment I made myself from snippets.....simple!

I love the pink & black colour combo, especially on a white base.....what's

your favourite colour combo?

Hi friends, hope you're well.

The weather's shaping up to be all that's promised......that's me hiding in

my craft room for the next couple days then lol!

I had a super productive day yesterday, managed to get lots done so today

I need to have a tidy up.....ready for round two!!

Today's make is a little shabby, a little chic.......and quite pink!

Made entirely with scraps, the sentiment is Rare Earth, I added a little 

charm and finished with some faux gems.

Hello Seahorse

Morning crafty friends, hope you're all well.
I'm sure enjoying this cooler weather right now, especially as today I'm
 planning on playing in the craft room for as long as I can sit!
Today's make is using papers from the Paper Boutique, beautiful quality
papers & really good value too.
Simple matting & layering & a few die cuts for decoration & that's it!

Hey friends, hope you're all well.

Ooh, it's a lovely day today....beautiful blue skies, a gentle breeze, the sun

is shining but it's not too warm......perfect Christmas card making weather lol!

Saying that, I could make a Christmas card any time, any weather.

A little decoupage for today's topper with a bit of a shabby/vintage feel to

 it......a kraft base, some very old paper that I distressed around the edges then

 lots of die cut bits & pieces finished with a few silver snowflakes & faux gems.

When do you like to make Christmas cards? Any particular time or are you

a last minute Christmas crafter?
