More bracelets!

Hi guys......just popping in to share a couple of bracelets, it's way too warm in

my craft room so not too much going on paper-wise! These bracelets are super 

quick & easy to make & best of all you can make them anywhere! The studded one

is simply macrame knots & studs while the wrap one is a great way to use up all

those seed beads us crafters seem to have........simply thread onto a length of

jewellery wire, add a length of chain, fastening & a charm of your choice.....easy!

Wooden Heart #2

Morning lovelies......hope you're all well! Looks like we're in for another hot day

on the Yorkshire Coast.....I soooo can't wait for some cooler weather!

So today I have another wooden heart to share....I love hearts & have quite a

collection of all shapes & sizes.....this one I decided to decorate for a kitchen.

The papers were the starting point, they were freebies in a mag quite a while ago

& to me they screamed retro kitchen.......just a shame it's totally the wrong style &

colour for my kitchen lol but I loved making it & that's the main thing, right?

I started by covering the heart with 2 different papers, added half a doily & a length

of lace. Lots of die cut flowers, all inked & layered together with some brads, then I

added the label & the letters cut with my Silhouette. Lastly I added some little wooden

kitchen utensils tied together with some twine......and that's it.....hope you like it!

Wooden heart #1

Morning crafters......hope you're all well!

I have something a bit different (for me) to share today....a painted wooden heart!

We've had such a lot going on at home recently and me & Mr Mojo seem to have fallen

out cos he keeps disappearing lol so rather than sit at my desk shuffling bits of

paper around I thought I'd finish up some almost forgotten about projects & maybe

have a go at something new.......and this is something new!

I started with a plain wooden heart, inked it all over in black then gave it a coat

of grey acrylic paint. I then sanded it back a bit, stamped on the Indigo Blu verse 

& heat embossed it. Next I simply added a few embellies & a sprinkle of aged silver 

frantage & I have to tell you I struggled with frantage on paper but wow, on wood it

works soooo well! So that's my little crafty offering for today, thanks for calling &

Summer Celebrations with Nutcrafters!

Morning crafty bloggers......hope you're all well!

Today we have a new challenge for you over at Nutcrafters & the theme, as chosen

bu our lovely boss, Katie is SUMMER CELEBRATIONS!

A nice, easy theme for you and could cover travel/holidays, the seaside, bbq's, ice 

cream.......anything Summer at all! I used the beach hut from the Sailor Boy Duo

set.....wanted to keep this as CAS as possible cos I love that little beach hut

so decided on a couple of simple layers, paper string & the hand stamped words.

As usual, there's some fab prizes to be won:

It's a wrap X 3!

Morning crafters....hope you're all well, it's promising to be another super warm

day today here on the Yorkshire Coast so I guess I'll not be straying too far

from home.....yep, I'm one of those misery guts who hates the Sun lol!

Today I have another bracelet to share.....my favourite wrap style, this one is

a triple wrap using dark purple waxed cotton cord & assorted seed beads in

mixed purples, greys & black with a button to fasten. 

My youngest kids break for Summer today so although life is sure to get

busier it gets a little easier too......no lunch boxes to fill, no smelly pe kits to

wash ( and oh my, does Nic's rugby kit stink lol) and no shirts to iron.....bliss!

Christmas in July with Lexi's Creations!

Morning lovelies......hope you're all well!

It's another bright, beautiful day here on the Yorkshire Coast although the kids are

on Summer break from tomorrow so I'm hoping for cooler days!

Christmas in July with Sparkles!

Morning crafters, hope you're all well! Seems ages since I last blogged, life is just

so busy right now......I'm hoping once school's out next week things will start to slow

down a bit.......and I might just get my crafty mojo back!

So today being the 15th of the month means we have a new challenge for you over

at Sparkles and this time the challenge, as chosen by my very own little Miss Rebecca

is CHRISTMAS IN JULY! As usual, anything you'd like to make, we'd like to see

just so long as it fits the theme. We have the fabulous Marianne Design sponsoring us this

month with an amazing prize of either 2 dies or 1 die & 1 stamp!

I wanted to keep my make clean & simple......and easy/cheap to post...for me, this

card fits the bill.....and I got to use up scraps too....think I'll definitely be making more!
So sorry about the blue tinge to the photo.......just couldn't get a decent pic!

I used the Snowman Soup digi....there's nothing better than a huge mug of hot

chocolate topped with whipped cream (melted snowman?) and a shake of some

My fav colour combo!

Morning my lovely crafty friends......hope you're all well!

Today I'm sharing a card using my 1st East Wind image, isn't she pretty.....I

so hope I've done her justice! I've gone for my favourite colour combo of blue

& brown, added all my favourite embellies & a little wooden heart! No sentiment

yet, I thought she'd be perfect for a wedding, a prom or maybe a special birthday so

she'll sit in my box until needed! Rightio, off to do some nasty housework then try for an

hour (or two) at my desk......Mr Mojo seems to be missing right now so I'm gonna

have a proper tidy up of my desk & see what happens!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well........& a happy 4th July to all my friends

celebrating Independence Day! Over the Summer Delicious Doodles have decided to go

with fortnightly challenges & we're starting with an ANYTHING GOES theme!

Same rules apply - only one entry per person unless using a Delicious Doodles image

and the winner gets 5 of Teri's fantastic images!

So for my make I used the brilliant The Beast image & backing paper 'Number of the Beast',

 one of the papers from the Beastly Paper Pack - amazing value at only £1.50 for 3 papers!

Some very simple torn layers, a Tim Holtz die cut clock & a fab quote that also just

happens to be mentioned in a song by one of my fav bands - A7X!!!

A Winter's Scene with Sparkles Christmas Challenges!

Morning crafters......happy 1st July lol!

It's new challenge time over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges & this month the

theme, as chosen by our lovely Debs is A WINTER'S SCENE!

We have an amazing sponsor.....the fabulous Marianne Design offering a prize

of either 1 stamp & 1 die OR 2 dies!

For my card I used a topper from the Patchwork Pals range (forgotten I had them) & 

more scraps from the scrap drawer.....I'm sure getting through them scraps lol!

I used Marianne & Sizzix snowflake dies, a polka dot embossing folder, a Dienamics

fishtail banner die, some gems & a computer generated sentiment!

As usual, you have all month to play AND you can enter any crafty make you

like - just so long as you stick to the theme! Don't forget to pop over & see all the
