A tag, a late tea and a few happy tears!

Ooooh, what a weekend! Olympic fever definitely
has a hold at our house! So much so I nearly forgot to
feed the kids.........oops! So chuffed for Team GB girls, Lizzie
 Armitstead....fantastic ride for silver
& Rebecca Adlington, her swim for the bronze medal was fab........brought a tear to my eye!
Miss Rebecca and I had a tag making session yesterday,
I made one for her and she made one for............Christmas!!!
I used the cutie "Mac" stamp from Nutcrafters,
a die cut heart, a punched border, punched butterflies, gems & ribbon coloured
with promarkers, ric rac, black card and a scrap
of zebra print paper!
Quick tidy up, do some washing then it's back to the craft
room & the Olympics for me!
Hope you all have a great day everyone!

Down by the sea-ee!

Hiya, hope you're all well!
Are you all watching the Olympics? Wasn't the opening
ceremony fantastic? So proud of  Team GB but oh,
so sad for cyclist,  Mark Cavendish. I'm sat watching the
swimming now........with a big bag of chocolate......oops!
So, today's card is using the fab seaside duo digis
from Nutcrafters. Miss Rebecca made the background scene
of sky & sand with promarkers and the big, cheeky sunshine
is a sticker! I've used kraft for matting onto a 6 x 6 card blank.
Words, seagulls & doodling are done with a fine liner
and some rafia to finish!
Enjoy the rest of your evening, thanks for calling
and for any comments you may leave!

Happy New Year, everyone!!!!!

Wow, isn't it hot...........almost too hot to craft!
A nice, cold, frosty New Year's card might just cool
me down,  I thought, so that's what I made lol!
And even better, it's all made with bits from my scrap box!
We've had some lovely weather here on the Yorkshire coast, the sun's been
shining, the washing's all dry and the kids are happy!
Miss Rebecca and I are planning a craft day today so fingers
crossed we'll have something to share soon although if it
doesn't cool down a bit I might just have to take a dip in her pool!!
Thanks for calling today, hope your days a good one!

It's Christmas in July at Lexi's Creations!

Morning, how are you today? Well, I hope.
Oh, it's lovely not to have to rush around, packing lunch boxes
and doing the school run! And it's lovely weather, too, which means
while the kids are playing outside I get a bit more craft time!
So today it's time for our Christmas in July
challenge over at Lexi's Creations and we have a brand new sponsor!
The fabulous Priyanka, owner of My Heart Pieces is offering
3 digi's to our winner! Thank you so much, Priyanka!

So  this fortnight we want to see your creations with Christmas
in mind. We'd love to see anything crafty....ATC's, bookmarks, layouts,
tags......anything you'd care to make and share!
You have until August 4th to play and if you're in need of
inspiration look no further than our main challenge blog here
where you'll find some fab creations from my lovely teamies led by our
lovely leader, Susan.
I chose to make a card.......I'm determined to be ready
this year......and I used Sammie the Snowman digi available here.
Everything else I used was to be found in my scrap box apart from the lovely
snowflake border which was kindly given to me.
Thanks for looking today, would love to see you over at Lexi's!
Hope your days a good one!

Hiya, is there anybody there? I so hope you've not all

for all my scheduled posts :(
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to visit you all and a big apology to
all my Dt teamies as well....I promise to spend the weekend catching up!
So here we are at the start of another school holiday and today I'm sharing 2
scrapbook pages........about school! Here's Nic, my 5th handsome Son when he was
in y2....I'm that behind with my scrapbooking and he's now in y8 lol!
I used Serif to create this and I can remember the day the photo
was taken as if it was yesterday!

Favourite things

Hiya, just a quick post to share a few of Miss Rebecca's favourite
things......Grandad, Grandma and her Lelly Kelly shoes!
This was a wall hanging in her room but we're going to change
it into a mini album and add a few more pics.
Think that will wait til the Summer hols though as we're in the middle of
decorating....we're lucky enough to have 2 sitting rooms, the smallest one
is my fav and that's the one that's getting a makeover! Gonna have a bit of colour for a
change(Rachel, I'm going green lol!). I'm making a ribbon heart for one wall and fancy having
a go at a canvas, too.....if I'm brave enough!
Right got to dash!
Have a nice day everyone!

Lexi's Creations #69 - For a Friend

Morning  everyone, hope you're all well!
Wow, it's good to be back.......2 weeks of sickness has taken it's toll on our family but it's
Monday, kids are all feeling fine and I'm excited to be crafting again!
Let's hope it brings some nice weather with it!
It also brings a new challenge over at Lexi's Creations and this fortnight the theme
is "For a friend". As you know, we are a multi crafts blog so would love to see your cards,
tags, bookmarks, ATC's.........anything crafty so long as it fits the theme!
You have until July 21st to play and you never know......you could be the lucky winner
of this fortnights' fantastic prize......5 digis from Fairy Dust Crafts!
That's a great prize......you'll be spoilt for choice!
I chose to make a card in Serif this time and wow, I'm seriously becoming addicted!
While I still prefer "real" paper, ribbons, etc., Serif definitely has a place in my
craft room! The possibilities are endless! I used a sentiment from Fairy Dust Crafts then printed my card out and mounted it on a scallop edge card and for a first go I'm real pleased with it!
Don't forget to pop over to the main challenge blog to check out the gorgeous makes created
by our fabby DT led by our lovely Susan......they're a fantastic team
and I love being part of it!
Well, that's it from me today, thanks for looking and hope your
days' a good one!

The Happy Scrappers - Birthday Celebrations

Morning everyone, hope you're all well and having a fab weekend!
Can you believe we're on #3 over at The Happy Scrappers?
What a fantastic turnout we had for #2.....hope you'll join us again this month
This time the theme has been chosen by our teamie Carol and it's
"Birthday Celebrations"
So come on, dig out those photos and get scrapping!
We want to see layouts of any size, all we ask is that you use at least
1 photo and you stick to the theme.
Don't forget to hop on over to the main blog to see who our scrapper of the month is
and while your there you can check out the rest of the makes from our fab
DT led by the lovely Shaz!
I've chosen to go digital again this month.......it's so addictive and so quick
though I don't think it could ever take the place of real paper, glue, buttons, ribbons, etc!
I've used 2 photos of Miss Rebecca on her 4th Birthday and the
Playground digi kit in Serif - gorgeous, bright, happy colours!
So that's it for me today, got lots to catch up on!
Thanks for looking and hope your days' a good one!

He was a sk8er boi........

Morning, my crafty friends, hope you're all well.
Feels like ages since i've been here chatting....had a strange week last week!
You know where you're busy but nothing gets done, one thing after another goes wrong, poorly
kids, the daftest craft accident ever....well that was my week!
So hopefully things will settle down for now and i can get caught up on all your
lovely blogs!
Today i have a "just because" card, another one to go in my  box!
This fab image was given to me  and I'm almost sure its from The Greetings Farm,
I've coloured him with flex/promarkers, used plain & scallop dies for matting & layering.
The stars & bunting are cut with framelits dies and the spotty paper is K & Co.
The blue & orange card is from my scrap box and I've used a 6 x 6 card blank!
Oh, and there's a couple of brads on there, too!
So that's it for today.....gonna get caught up with some Dt commenting
and maybe a bit of gardening!
Thanks for looking....hope your days a good one!
