Happy Birthday To You!

Morning friends, hope you're all well.
Oh my, where on earth did May go? I probably say it too often but time really
does seem to go much faster the older I'm getting. Won't be too long before
all we're talking about is........Christmas!! Oooh, I can't wait.......better
get my thinking cap on for this year's Little Book of Christmas!
But before that I  have a birthday card topper to share....another from one of
those die cut booklets with a few of my own bits & pieces added in.
I started with a black card base, added the striped paper.....another black card
& paper layer then the circular sentiment. The floral corners are 3 layers of
decoupage.....aren't they pretty? Then I finished with a die cut banner, the
birthday words & a couple faux gems......job done!
Rightio, lots to do today before I can go in the craft room so I better get
a move on. Thanks for calling & whatever you're up to have a lovely day.

Dream Forever

Morning friends, hope you're all well.

It's a cool, breezy day here....perfect for a potter in the garden I think,
maybe best if I do that before I hit the craft room though!
The de-cluttering of the craft room is going well, it's great finding all
the long forgotten stash we all have although it does make the whole
process take a bit longer when I just have to stop & have a crafty play!
To be honest I'm not in any rush.....I'll get there in the end.

Today's make is from a sheet in one of those die cut decoupage books you
can buy.....perfect for those days when you need a quick make......or for the
days when my hands won't work properly! I do like to add a few touches
of my own to these sheets but for this one I kept it fairly simple & just
added a few faux gems & mounted the whole thing onto some kraft card.
I love the colours on this one, they match my craft room perfectly lol!
Rightio, lots to catch up on........thanks for calling.......see you tomorrow.

Hi friends, happy weekend......hope you're all well.
Ooh, it feels like forever since I blogged......a week off decorating then no internet

hopefully so I can get caught up. A huge apology to my teamies over at Crafty Cardmakers
for being late with my make.......here it is......

The theme this time, chosen by Josephine is Birthdays....anything you like to make
we love to see....just so long as it meets the theme.
My make this time is all Hunkydory.....part of the Out of this World collection,
so quick & easy to put together & gorgeous colour tones.
Rightio, short & sweet today so I can try & catch up on bog visitng......then I'm
going to start on decluttering my craft room......wish me luck!
Thanks for calling & don't forget, my FLORAL FRENZY challenge is here.

Congratulations card

Hi friends, hope you're all well & enjoying the same wonderful weather
we're having here. It's been almost a week since I last blogged.....we decided
to do some decorating but as often happens.....a smallish job turns into a
much bigger one.....and we ended up with 2 rooms to decorate!
So today I have another congrats card to share.....I love this style of card
as it's real quick & easy and, I think, very nice......and it can suit almost
any occasion simply by changing the word used. It's also a great way of
using up odds & ends from the scrap box!
Rightio, I've a few jobs to do then I'm off for a catch up around your blogs.
Thanks for calling......see you tomorrow!
xx
Don't forget, there's still time to play my FLORAL FRENZY challenge here.

Have a Bright & Beautiful Birthday!

Morning crafty friends.......Happy Thursday from a wet & dull Yorkshire Coast
......who'd have thought I could spend so long staring into the back garden while
it's raining! Before I get on with the jobs I should be doing I wanted to pop in to share
this birthday topper. Patterned card & topper from Hunkydory...and I added a
few die cuts onto layers of blue & mirri card then finished with some faux gems.
Short & sweet today....thanks for calling, have a lovely day.

With Love at Christmas

Hi crafty friends, welcome to my little blog!
Ooh, it's a cold, wet day here so it's seems fitting I should post a Christmas
card....won't be long til Christmas is all we're doing.....eeek!
I think this is my favourite Christmas card this year, not that I've made that many
so that'll probably change lol.....I love the image,
those little bunnies, the hanging hearts, the whole feel of this image is
right up my street.
I started by trimming the image to fit the die cut frame, layered it onto cream
hammered card, then distressed gingham then kraft card & finally more
hammered cream. I stamped a sentiment on the die cut tags then finished off
with a few faux gems.
Rightio, lots to do today so thanks for calling & I'll see you tomorrow.

3,2,1, with Crafty Cardmakers!

Morning friends, hope you're all well.......and enjoying the long weekend.
Well, the rain finally arrived....and it's so cold we've put the heating on!
I've got to say though, I do love how some rain turns the garden a much
more vibrant green....and I love watching the rain.....from inside!
Anyway, enough waffling from me.....we have a new challenge for you
over at CRAFTY CARDMAKERS where the theme this time is: 3,2,1.

3 of one thing, 2 of another & 1 of another! Nice & simple....or so I thought
until I sat down to make something.....then I really struggled lol. My mind
went blank & no way could I think of anything! So, as usual if that happens,
I go back to the simplest of makes....and here's what I came up with.....

I finally settled on 3 flowers, 2 colours & 1 pearl....so quick & easy I made
3 of them....all with a different stamped sentiment.
If you fancy joining us then do pop on over to the main challenge blog where
you will find some gorgeous makes from the rest of the team and as usual,
anything you fancy making we love to see....hope to see you there!
Rightio, that's me for today....better go do something before I end up
sitting for another hour watching the rain!
Thanks for calling.....see you tomorrow!
xx
Don't forget, my new challenge FLORAL FRENZY is here.

Notelets x 2

Hi friends.....ooh, it's a bit chilly here today, more like the Bank Holiday
weather we're used to....but at least it's dry.....for now!
Anyway, hope you're all enjoying the long weekend and maybe managing
a little crafty time. We're spending some time in the garden today so I'll
be hoping for a little crafty time tomorrow once the jobs are done.
So today's share were intended to be notecards but on looking again I
think they might be suitable for other occasions too. I started with a 7x5
base then simple matting & layering of coloured card. I added a piece
of patterned foiled paper then a die cut frame over the top. A die cut
butterfly & dragonfly, a die cut banner & a die cut sentiment all finished
with a couple of enamel dots.
So that's my lot for today, the troops are descending for lunch so I better
get a move on. Thanks for calling & whatever you're up to......hope
your days a good one! See you tomorrow.

Washi Wednesday #1 2019

Hi friends, happy Wednesday.....hope you're all well & managing
some well deserved crafty time!
You know I'm always on a mission to use up stash....well, with that in
mind (and after a couple of requests) I decided to bring back Washi Wednesday.
I LOVE washi tape, have way too much of it but don't use it often enough so
last year I started Washi Wednesday but what with health issues I couldn't keep
it up. So, I'm going to try again......here's what I'm going to try and do......on the
1st Wednesday of each month a new washi tape make, hopefully.with a simple
tutorial.........so long as the main focus is washi tape it could be anything!
If you fancy joining in please do leave me a comment so I can
come see your makes.....or if you fancy doing a guest post then do get in touch
So the first post if the first post I shared last year....a simple but (I think) very
effective card that could be used for any occasion. Card covered with washi tape
then cut with a banner die, stuck to the base card then a double ended banner
with a die cut word on top...super simple and super quick!

Rightio, that's it for today....thanks so much for popping in & for any comments
you might leave......see you tomorrow!
xx
