Look at that little face!

Ooooh, don't you all love Saturdays??
We do....lazy, fun days....nice food.....bit of evening TV.....and American Idol!!!
Me and Bex are hooked this season...Phil Phillips and Colton James.....awesome!
And, YES! 2 whole weeks of school holidays - bliss! I love having my kids at home although I'll definitely be ready for them to go back!
Anyways, here's a card I made yesterday - think this one would do for lots of occasions so will
sit nicely in my stash waiting to be used! Might be just right for a little man to give to his Mum. I coloured this image ages ago and then yesterday made the card up
then suddenly realised he's supposed to be sitting on something....doh!!! Think that could be why I hadn't turned him into a card before! I liked the card so I just  quickly drew brick wall for him to sit on.....now I'm no artist but
I'm quite pleased with it......the kids said it looked ok so that'll do for me....just hope they meant it lol!
I followed a sketch this time  - Sweet Sketch Wednesday #147 - and loved it!
Think I'll definitely be saving this one for future use if that's ok??

Thanks for popping by today, I so appreciate it and thanks for any comments you might leave.
Hope you're days a good one!

Surf's up, Dude!

Hiya, hope you're all well !
3 days posting in a row..........wow, can't believe it myself.........thought i better get cracking before kiddos break up on Friday!
No school run for 2 weeks.......no lunch boxes ......and no smelly PE kits.......heaven!
I'm planning to craft to my hearts content......if Rebecca doesn't get to my desk first!!!!
So, seeing as it's Wednesday, that means it's time for Waste not Wednesday hosted by the lovely Lisa who is on a mission to get us all using up our forgotten and neglected stash!
The card i'm sharing today is made with an unused (but definitely not unloved) digi, a forgotten about but soooo happy to be remembered paper pack and some chocolate brown card from my stash!
Some colouring, matting and layering and that's it!
Oh, and the "Surf's up" and "Dude" was computer generated!
I even decorated the inside of this one!!

Easy........and i'm real happy with it!
Thanks for stopping by today, i soooo appreciate it!

Spots & Dots!

Good morning friends, hope you're all well! A big hello and welcome too, to my new followers!
So what happened to Monday?? I think I missed it!!
I've got the weekly food shop to do today so it's an early start for me...........and a few jobs to catch up on but I might just be naughty and leave the ironing for another day .........I hate ironing!!
It's Parents Day for my 5th Son, Nic, today after school, then Rebecca's Parents Day tomorrow after school
so i need to get myself organised otherwise before I know it the week will be over!
Today's card is for my stash....I really need to build it up a bit!
I followed the fab sketch from the The Sugar Bowl

and went with the optional theme of Spots& Dots!
This is another card using only stash - i have used the stamp once before but i'm determined to get through some stash!!!!
Thanks for dropping by today, have a lovely day!

Swing time!

Morning friends, did you all have a fantastic weekend?
I did - Rebecca and I had a lovely time crafting on Saturday (you can see her latest card here)  and Sunday we pottered about in the garden with the boys, did a bit more crafting and had a lovely roast beef dinner!
Happy days - and lets hope this lovely weather continues!
So, the card I'm sharing today is not for anyone in particular, I just loved the image! I've not come across
Nutcrafters before - a few weeks ago Rebecca won a candy of Nutcrafters images from the lovely Gemma and decided to share with me - I'm such a lucky Mummy! I think I'm hooked .....can definitely feel a little spend coming on!
Right, that's it for me today....got to go catch up on the dreaded housework!!
Hope your days' a good one!

It's been a funny week.....you know when you're busy busy busy but seem to get nothing done...that's been my week!! Still, at least I managed to get some DT work done so that means a little play in the craft room today!! I did get one other card done...........a friend wanted a card making for a 6 month wedding anniversary.......that's a new one for me but at least she knew just what she wanted........plain, simple, navy & cream with a wedding photo on front!!! And she loved it...........and said she would be more than happy for me to show it on my blog!
So that's it from me today,
I'm off to do some washing now, then it's playtime for me and Rebecca then American Idol (chocolate included) later this afternoon!!
And whatever you're doing today.........hope it's fun!!

In the pink!

Hi friends, hope you're all having a lovely Saturday! I spent yesterday re-organising my craft space and can't believe how much stash i found, there's so many things i'd forgotten i had!!
So today's card is pink as i wanted to join in with and support a new challenge my lovely blog friend, Joann told me about. It's over at Tammy's Scrappin Corner, the theme is PINK and you have until tomorrow to link up! I love challenges and i love pink so this is perfect for me so fingers crossed.....!
I wanted to join in with Lisa's fun waste not Wednesday  this week as well as i've missed the last couple and while i was there i saw the fab sketch for this fortnight's challenge at A Gem of a Challenge so thought i'd combine the lot!
This is the sketch i followed and
i coloured (using pro/flexmarkers) this cutie pie image that's been sitting in my drawer for the best part of probably a year! In fact everything i've used is either stuff i'd forgotten i had or bits & bobs from my scrap drawer! I loved making this card and it's a great feeling getting through a teeny bit more of my stash.......and making room for a bit more!!!
Hope the rest of your weekend is all you want it to be.
Thanks for looking.

Sparkles Challenges DT card - Mothering Sunday/Spring

Morning friends, hope your day has got off to a great start!
Mine has because it's March 15th and that means it's time for another challenge
over at Sparkles and this month the theme is
Mothering Sunday or Spring!
Our sponsor this month is the generous
with a $10 prize for our lucky winner!
Don't forget you can make any craft project you like as long as it fits the theme!
And if you pop over to Sparkles you can see the projects created by
my lovely, talented teamies!!
I chose to make a scallop circle card using a stamp i'm ashamed to say has never seen ink before!!
Eeeekk!!! Can't believe i just told you that!
I wanted to make a card suitable for a Spring Birthday or Mother's Day or even just for a special Aunt or friend and this is what i came up with!
I used some Nitwits papers that were a freebie with a magazine, yellow ribbon, flex/promarkers, stickles and the flowers were actually some stickers that i used as a template to make more then i coloured them, layered them up and glittered them up a bit.
Thanks for looking in today!
Hope to see you at Sparkles

Anyone for hockey?

Morning friends, what a gorgeous weekend we've had!
It's been so nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. We're trying to make a couple of rabbit runs but have no idea where to start so if anyone has any ideas i'd be ever so grateful. Would permanent runs be best or should we go with portable type ones......help!!!!
Anyway, the card i'm sharing today is for a 12 year old boy......wants no fuss or fancy, loves sport but no football oh, and doesn't want his age on it - says that's for little boys lol!
Do you think this will do??

Karate tag

Good evening, what a gorgeous day it's been here!
I love the promise of Spring, especially when it's just warm enough that you don't need a coat!
Just a quick post to share this tag i made to compliment a Birthday card i made using the
 same image in February.
I cut out 2 tag shapes and embossed the white one with a Papermania brick wall embossing folder.
I used the fab Karate Ian digi from the Greetings farm, coloured with flex/promarkers. I cut him out and placed him on the white tag, added some printed words - my karate mad Son said these are words that anyone who does karate would know -  a few black pearls to finish, then tied the 2 tags together with some chequered ribbon!
Thanks for looking!
Hope you have a lovely evening!

Music saves my soul Saturdayl!

Morning friends, it's a beautiful day here, lovely blue skies and enough of a
 breeze to dry the washing!!
I've not joined in with Music saves my soul for ages - Saturday's seem to pass me by in the blink of an eye so
I've decided to Take Back Saturday!!I'm planning on Saturday morning crafting with Rebecca then American Idol in afternoon -we do like that programme and this week it's the first of the live shows!
If you want to join in then pop over to Marcea's crafting corner and link up then you can go listen to everyone else's choice!
So my song choice for today is definitely one of my favourite EVER songs and it's by the fantastic Avenged Sevenfold, a tribute to their drummer, the Rev and it's called So Far Away.
Here's the link:

I haven't worked out how to put the video on my blog yet - maybe next time!!

ATC Love!

Good morning, hope you're all well!
A big Hello and Welcome to my new followers - thank you for joining me on this wonderful craft journey, I hope you find something here to inspire you and I will be visiting you all back very soon!
Today I wanted to share the ATC's I made for the February swap over at
Ali's ATC swap stop. The idea is that you make four ATC's fitting to the monthly theme, we all send them to the lovely host, Ali then she will send you a selection of four back!
The theme this time was LOVE and I used the fab Tin Rose digi from Pollycraft.
I used this image for a Valentine's card this year and loved it so much I just had to use it again!
I shrunk him down to fit the ATC size (2.5 x 3.5), coloured him with flexmarkers, trimmed with gingham ribbon, added pearls and mounted onto red card!
Can't wait to receive my swaps!
Thanks for looking and I hope you have a lovely day

WOYWW week 144

What a difference a day makes!!!
No, not the weather - my desk - although the same could definitely be said for the weather!
Yesterday my desk was perfectly tidy - but then I unpacked the craft shopping I did on Monday!
As all you regulars will know, Wednesday is the day for all us nosy parkers to get their fill of other people's
craft desks! WOYWW , hosted by Julia over at the Stamping Ground, is THE place to be on a Wednesday.

So what's on my desk today! All the usual, pens, scissors, glue etc., and then some lovely bits I bought with some Birthday money! I got the gorgeous fence die, a tree die, an embossing folder, some card and a scrapbook kit that contains 12 sheets of gorgeous girly papers - a real bargain at £1.99 - and I've still got some money left!!!
On the shelf above my desk is my ribbon - I've tried many ways of storing ribbon but none have really worked for me- until now! I bought a basket full of jars, the type you would use for pickles, etc., and now store all my odd bits colour by colour!
The reels are stored easily on a rail hanging between the shelf brackets.
Now I've just got 3 more drawers full of ribbon left to sort out - think I'm addicted!
So that's it from me, no works in progress today but I do plan on having a craft day as I have to wait in all day for delivery of new beds so watch this space!
Can't wait to see what's on your desk!
Thanks for looking.

Liebster blog award

Today was a good day - lovely blue skies, washing done and blowing in the breeze, shopping all done and
put away, house clean and tidy (for now) and I got the Liebster blog award!
The lovely Sue over at Jemima's Jems has awarded me the Liebster blog award and I'm over the moon!
Thank you, Sue, I so appreciate it!
The idea of the Liebster blog award is to spread the love from one small blog  (under 200 followers)
to other small blogs to help spread knowledge and readership.
"Liebster" in German means "favourite", so to carry on the tradition, I am going to pass the award
on to 5 people who's blogs have been as inspiration to me and my crafting.
To accept the award, here's what you must do.......
1.....Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you
2.....Post the award to your blog
3.....Give the award to 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers that you appreciate and value
4.....Leave a comment on the blogs of your 5 chosen to let them know

Here's my 5..........

1....Junie of Junie's Craft Creations
2.....Jill of My little card studio
3.....Debbie of Crafting when I can
5.....Claudia of Kartenspassundmehr

I'd be so pleased if you all accept my award but if you don't want to
then that's fine, too!
Thanks for stopping by

Anyways, here's something to cheer you all up - it's time for our next challenge over at
Lexi's Creations
and this time the theme is Mother's Day.
This is an extra special challenge for me because Susan, our fantastic leader has asked my daughter,
Rebecca
to join us this time as a Guest Designer! Of course, she said YES PLEASE!I know she would love it if you could pop over to her blog and see her card - it's HERE.
Thanks, Susan, it means a lot.
For my card I used Molly with lillies from Fairy Dust crafts, flex/promarkers, pearls, ribbon, some gorgeous floral paper, card & card blank. The sentiment was a free gift from a mag!
Don't forget to pop over and check out all my fab teamies designs - they're a real talented bunch and the images they use are fantastic.
You have until March 17th to play and you could be the winner of a massive 5 digis from
our generous, talented sponsor - Fairy Dust Crafts
