Christmas cuddles!

Morning friends, a big hello to my new followers......I'm so pleased to meet you!
Not much time for blogging recently, lots
of things got in the way last week but I have big plans for this week.....
famous last words lol. I've been busy sorting out lists
& things, trying to do a bit of planning for Christmas!
The good news is I've almost finished my Christmas cards!
Maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud lol, there's bound to be
one or two I've forgotten! So for today I'm sharing a card
I made recently, this gorgeous stamp was a prize I won
few months ago, the papers & ribbon are from stash, die cut tree &
holly, the sentiment is stamped and I decorated the inside to
match!
Rightio, off to do some ironing then Christmas shopping!
Thanks for calling today.....hope your days a
good one!

  9. Hi Jo this is gorgeous what super little characters well done .
Ref the serif...... On the left side open up your photo tab , it's at the top this will allow you to go browse your PCM for your images ie your digi stamps. If the stamp is in png format no problem but if its in jpeg it will have a white box around the image. To use the image with your serif scenes you will have to remove the white edge around the image. First import the image from your pc via the photo tab. It will appear in your side bar. Pull the image onto your page I usually use the 8 by 8 page set up to create my page. Click on the image to highlight it in blue then go to the task bar and click on the CUT OUT SECTION , this is a red button. It will only appear if you highlight the image you want to change. The image will now load into the cut out section and you will have to change it whilst its in the new box which appears on your screen. Now you can remove the white portion around the digi image. I increase the size of the image whilst it is in the cut out box, it makes it easier to see if you have missed anything . Be careful though.......check each bit of the images outline before you confirm the removal , sometimes the cut out key removes too much of the black line so when you complete you have an image which doesn't have a black line. Once you confirm the cut out box will remove the white outline and then leave the completed image on your page. Practice for a bit it is fiddly some images which have perfect black lines are completed in no time , others which are not so precise take a while. Once you have done this save the image by opening your embellishment tab then move the image BACK off the page and drop it in your embellishment section , this will save it for you to use again like this . Of course you haven't changed the original image you have in your computer so don't worry.
Af,ter I have saved my images I then create scenes using my serif then pull the image minus it's white edge onto the scene. I can then increase or decrease its size in proportion to the scene. When I am happy the complete scene plus the digi are in proportion I can then print. Before I do I click on the completed image to highlight it then using the shadow tool on the tool bar I can make the image appear to have its own shadow, this pops it off the page. I then print out , I now have a printed scene with a white image which I can colour how I like . I hope this helps , it's a bit of a pain but each time I get a new digi I remove the white surround so I can always use it easily either onto a scene or just print out the original digi on its own and colour.
If you have any probs , let me know and if I can I will help.
    Big hugs Elaine
