Birthday Candy!

I am ........because..........it's my birthday!!!! Can't believe I've reached the

big 50......eeekk.......think I'm gonna be counting backwards from now on lol!

I want that hair!

Hi friends........hope you're all well!

Well it's dull, dark & wet here today, a great start to the holidays but

perfect weather for locking myself in the craft room & having a little

me time. So today I have a card using a stunning image from

The East Wind - she's called Hair Heaven & you can find her here.

She looks so much like a mermaid to me so I decided to go with an under

water theme.

I used a scrap of paper from the scrap box, some dew drops, some

muslin, sea themed die cuts & a computer generated sentiment. I used

my Copics  & a white Sakura pen to colour her.

Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Morning friends......hope you're all well!

Well it's Friday again & you know what that means.........it's time to

Share an Oldie with Erika over at Snappycrafts! A craft related oldie, that is

lol.....if you fancy joining in then head on over, you'll be very welcome!

Today I'm sharing a digi scrap page, this one was done in My Memories and

is a photo of my daughter Rebecca and yes, she still has those curls although

 now they're much longer & sometimes a different colour!

That's all from me for today.....gonna get stuck into the jobs & maybe

even do the ironing.........oh heck, did I really say that? The kids

break up this aft for a fortnight so I want to get on top of things as I

promised Miss Rebecca we'd have a go at some sewing........I bought 

some red tartan fabric a while ago & she's itching to wear it....in what 

shape or form I'm really not sure but we're gonna have a go lol

Just For You......

Hi friends......hope you're all well!

It's a gorgeous day her on the Yorkshire Coast, beautiful blue skies but

oh, so cold...........a perfect day for crafting lol!

Well, I started on the big stash de-clutter yesterday....think I might be 

fooling myself a bit really cos I can't seem to throw anything so I decided

I'm gonna have a card making session every week & donate to the

charity shop where my son has a Saturday job. 

So this little fella & paper was a freebie with a mag, I layered up

onto some blue card, then some beige card & finished with some gems

& a computer generated sentiment.....job done!

Presents, anyone?

Morning friends.....hope you're all well!

Grocery shopping for me today & once that's done then I'm gonna

have a much needed de-stash of my craft room......and dare I

say it.........I'm not buying anything else until I've got rid of lots!

So for today I have a Christmas card made from a Nitwits decoupage 

sheet I found stashed away......definitely too nice to throw away! I

 kept this one nice & flat for posting, just adding a couple of pearls and

a stamped sentiment from LOTV. This will go in my box ready to 

send to the charity shop where my son works nearer to Christmas.

Rightio.....shopping time.....those cupboards won't fill themselves!

A little bit Gorjuss

Hi friends.......hope you're all well!

Today I have a book cover to share....you might remember I made a mini

album last year for Miss Rebecca's birthday? Well this year I'm making one 

for her best friend, Jess. The front cover is the same design Bexs', just

different colours & a different image.....and of course, a different 

name & age lol! Papers & image are both Gorjuss & I've used a real

variety of dies.....XCut, Memory Box, Clearly Besotted & Dienamics and

then finished with a little punched butterfly & some black pearls.

So that's it from me for today.....whatever you're up to hope it's fun &

Journal 52 week 2

Hi friends.......happy Saturday!

Hope you're all well & enjoying the weekend......Miss Rebecca & me 

started our day with pancakes, it's not often she's up early on a

weekend so it was a lovely to have breakfast together....I had mine with

lemon & syrup........mmmmm, delicious!

So today I'm sharing a journal page, I'm following the prompts over at 

Journal 52 & this is from week 2 when the prompt was 'Just Be'. As my

Journal is quite personal to me I added 'Happy'......cos inks, stamps,

paints & paper etc all make me happy lol. No particular techniques were

used, I just painted & dabbed & splattered & rubbed........then added a few

stamped & fussy cut flowers, some paint rings made with a paint dabber

lid & some honeycomb die cuts. It looks quite dull in the pic but IRL it

looks real grungy.......right up my street!

Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Morning lovelies......hope you're all well!

I'm missing one of my boys this week, he's at Catering College & they've

 gone on a trip down to London.....he's due back tonight though. I hate how

the whole dynamic of the house changes when one of the kids are away...I

wonder if they miss me as much as I miss them.......probably not lol..and

so long as they're happy & well that's all that matters.

So for today I'm joining in with Erika over at Snappycrafts where we're 

all invited to Share an Oldie.......as long as it's a craft related oldie lol!

My share is a little wall hanging I made last Summer to encourage

me to keep plodding on trying to lose weight......and I'm still trying!

Just because.........

Morning friends..........hope you're all well!

Dull, damp & dark here today so methinks a little play time is on the

cards......after the jobs are done of course!!

Today I have a little 'just because' card to share.....I've been playing with inks & 

sprays more and more recently.....I love the freedom it gives me, no

 worrying about perfectly coloured images, smudges look fine & I love that my

 makes aren't perfect.......just like me cos I'm far from perfect lol! So I

 started with a square of card covered with Dylusions spray ink. The script &

 the corners are stamped with Memento in espresso truffle which I also used

 to ink the edges. I'mthinking now I should maybe have heat embossed the

 script but hey ho, maybe next time. The flowers were stamped with my most

favourite stamp of the moment - a 50p bargain!! Again, I used memento ink,

 coloured with Copics then I added frantage to the middle & then fussy cut

 them. I matted onto a piece of pearlescent bronze paper,then mounted onto a 

5x5 black card & finished with a snippet of ribbon. No sentiment as yet......I'll

 add one when it's needed. 

Rightio, that's my lot for today.....hoping to get a journal page finished this

aft so maybe I'll have that to show you tomorrow. Thanks for calling,

February ATC / Love/Hearts

Morning lovelies.....hope you're all well!

Today I'm sharing the ATC I made for the little swap group I run.....

.....this one is from February & the theme was Love/Hearts.

If you're thinking this looks familiar you'd be right lol......I recently

made a book cover & a Valentine's card using the same design!

Once the ATC was cut to size I distressed the edges of the green paper,

layered it up with some muslin, added a die cut heart, a stamped

sentiment and a gem........and that's it!

Here's a pic of some of the ATC's I received from February's swap,

aren't they great? One theme, so many great makes!

Teddy Bears with Sparkles Challenges!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well.......and a very happy Mother's Day

to all you lovely Mum's.....isn't it the best job in the world?

So midway through the month only means one thing......a new challenge at

Sparkles

and this time the theme as chosen by our lovely teamie,  Helen is

TEDDY BEARS

So why, you're thinking, did I use a dog???? Well, I chose the image, made

the card, photographed the card, added it to the Dt blog........and still

didn't realise it's actually a dog and not a teddy bear lol.

So sorry to Shaz & the team......but it did give my daughter a good laugh

........and even she hadn't realised it was a dog lol!!

Anyway, back to business.......we're lucky enough to have 2 sponsors

again this month.........7 digis from Bugaboo

and a £10 voucher to spend over at Crafty Bren's

I made a Christmas card this time, nice & flat for posting this card will

be saved for the Charity shop where my Son works. The image is LOTV

and all other bits & pieces are from my stash.

Add some Metal with Crafty Calendar!

Morning friends........hope you're all well!

Another cold, damp & dreary day here on the Yorkshire Coast so don't

 think I'll be venturing out........I think maybe a nice, lazy craft-ernoon

 is called for.....once Miss Rebecca gets herself out of bed, that is!

So today being the st Saturday of the month means a new challenge at

CRAFTY CALENDAR

where the theme this time is ADD SOME METAL!

certificate to any online store!!! 

I made a book cover this time......this is for my son Cam & so 

embellishments had to be kept to a minimum lol. My added metal is the

little cameo & was gonna be the rings I ordered to hold the book pages

 together only they didn't arrive in time!!

Hearts and Happy Birthday, Nic!!!

Hi friends......hope you're all well!

Last year I joined a Facebook group, now I'm not much use with

Facebook but I do try lol! We had an ATC swap & more recently we've

just finished the pages for a book swap...........each person involved

chooses a theme then everyone else makes a page for each theme.

Once they're all done our lovely leader who organised the whole thing

made a cover for each book! Once we receive our books I'll be able

to show you more but for now I will share my page.

I chose hearts for my theme & I'm so excited to see my book....

.....it's gonna be something to treasure, that's for sure!

So for my page I layered a piece of pink paper over some kraft card,

swiped some white acrylic paint over it then added some muslin.

I cut the heart from corrugated kraft card, added more white paint then

tied the ribbon....a handwritten sentiment, a die cut flower & that's it!

So that's it for today......we have more Birthday celebrations.......my
youngest son Nic is 16 today......all 6 foot 2 of him.......and you know
what that means......yep, more birthday cake!!!!

I made a card to add to my little Christmas stash, dare I say it but I

just KNOW it's gonna be here before we now it! Nice & flat for posting,

Morning friends......happy March 1st!

Time for a new ATC swap theme & this month we're going with
