Hi crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well & warm.....the weather's certainly
taken a turn for the worse right now...............we have snow & it's so, so cold!
So for today I have a little giveaway, let me tell you the story behind it....
I was at a checkout waiting to pay for something the other day & on front of me was an elderly lady paying for some cushions. She pulled out a couple of neatly folded bags & was trying to put the cushions in them & put her purse away at the same time.....while the cashier sat picking at her finger nails!! I automatically picked up one of the bags & helped her to pack her cushions, then popped them into her shopping trolley for her. She was so thankful & said to me that she hoped I was
rewarded with kindness from someone very soon. The very next day Postie brought me a package from my lovely blog friend Barb containing a heart I'd admired on her blog!
How gorgeous is that? Thanks so much Barb, I love hearts & this now has pride of place in my
craft room! So I decided to pay Barb's kindness forward & give away a paper pad.
It's called Mulberry Kisses from First Edition, it's 8x8 & is full of the most gorgeous
papers....some glittered, some fabric, some double sided......just beautiful!
If you fancy winning just leave me a comment.....would be great if you were a follower & feel
free to pop a pic in your sidebar. I'll draw a name at the end of the month.
xx
What a cute story and a lovely lady, Jo! I remember seeing Barb's gorgeous heart - what a fabulous surprise! Thank you for your giveaway! I'll add it to my sidebar for you! I haven't been crafting/blogging so it might not generate much traffic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet tale. I,m afraid shop staff are not taught any customer relatins these days, especially with old people, this sort of thing soooo annoys me, so well done you and you were rewarded for your kindness. 'What goes around comes around'

Such a sweet story. So nice of you to help her. It really bothers me when people stand by and do nothing to help when they see someone struggling with something especially the elderly. Thanks so much for your kindness to her and also for offering something so sweet as well. May God bless you even more. Hugs, Robin
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your friend to send you her gorgeous work of art and yes kindness pays one way or the other. Bless your generous heart for wanting to spread some joy with your readers

Hello Jo, lovely story and why wouldn't you help, any decent person would, obviously the assistant needs more customer training. Lovely paper pad and would love to win it, Kate x
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, I get annoyed at assistant's who do anything but that , especially if, as this lady, someone is struggling with their shopping. It costs nothing to smile and be kind and helpful, yet so few bother nowadays. Well done for being kind and helpful.
ReplyDeleteA lovely story Jo, a little kindness goes a long way.

How sweet of you to help that lady. I wish there were more people like that around. But unfortunately many of them just mind their own business and don't care about the others.
