Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well.
Nice & cool here today so hopefully it'll be a productive day in the craft room.
Day 29 of my Christmas in July challenge & I have a card topper to share using
my favourites - lots of layers & die cuts!
Sometimes the simplest of ideas work just as well as the fancier ones. I think
it's so easy to get caught up in wanting the latest papers/dies/stamps etc that we
forget that we need very little to make a nice card. Every piece on this topper
was from the scrap box....I just trimmed them to size, added a few die cuts, a
stamped sentiment then finished with a couple of faux gems. Another card
that could be made in lots of different colours for lots of different occasions.
Thanks for calling, see you tomorrow!
xx
Don't forget, my CHRISTMAS IN JULY challenge is here.
Lots of layers & die cuts are my favourites too! :D Fast and easy... the best, when time is limited... isn't it? :)
ReplyDeleteLove your design, so elegant and festive with the gold! Beautiful textured stars and design paper!
Looks fabulous Jo, love all your layers and die cuts, great to use up some of the 'scraps' too, sometimes I think the scraps are taking over my craft room!

The layers and die-cuts look gorgeous layered up together Jo. Gorgeous gold colours as well - Michelle x
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right Jo. I have made a concerted effort this year to be mindful about what I am spending on crafty stash. Quite often I buy something only to realize I already have a very similar item (whatever it may be) in my stash. This is a really beautiful layered topper, I love the offset layers xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful combination of papers and die cuts beautifully layered too.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card from offcuta and oddment-I totally agree I was tempted last week by some collage stamps but the more I looked at them I thought I have similar images and could practically replicate with what I have
