When is a shaker not a shaker?

Answer: when I try to make one!
Got myself in such a pickle I abandoned the shaker element and just stamped
where  the shaker should have been! Quite pleased with the outcome
though......I used the Crafters Companion enchanted Christmas card kit that came
free with the Papercrafter magazine last year....ooh, it's lovely....lots of sparkly,
glittery elements, papers, sequins, an embossing folder and the most
beautiful stamps....and such fab quality too.

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend....thanks for calling & I'll see you tomorrow.

It's Never Too Early To Make A Christmas Card!

Is it too early?
Head says yes. it's way too early.....heart says no, I love it so start as early as I
like......so I have!

This must be the simplest Christmas card I've ever made.....and I love how it turned out.
I think this is a batch card for sure & there's so many options for colours I can't wait to
 make a few more!

Wendy's Challenge #1

Hi crafty friends....hope you're all well.
Did you have a good night last night? Was a quiet one here, don't think any of
us managed to stay awake til midnight.......ooh, we're getting old lol!
The lovely Wendy over at Spanish Crafter is challenging us to use a die on every
post.....what a great way to figure out what dies you use......and what dies you
don't! If you're anything like me you'll have way to many & you maybe even
haven't used a lot of them. I don't know that I can manage very post but I'd surely
like to join in every week. So, how to figure out where to start.......the obvious
answer would be to use a die I haven't used before but typically my mind went
blank so I decided to start with the dies I probably use the most......a scallop
circle & a banner die. Love, love, love these dies....definitely keepers.
Paper and the beautiful topper are downloads from Making Cards magazine
and everything else is from my stash.
Thanks for calling......see you soon.
xx

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year friends!

Where did the last year go? It feels like I blinked and missed it!
So as we start the new year, the new decade even......I'd like to wish you all
a wonderful year filled with lots of crafty time and all the thing you love most. I
hope it's a happy, healthy & peaceful year for each & every one of you.
Also, I'd like to thank you so much for your support & friendship this past year, it
 really does mean a lot.
Me? I'm aiming to blog more, visit your blogs more & keep my little challenges
running......I want to cook more, sew more........in fact do more of everything
I enjoy doing but never seem to have the time for......maybe even keep on
top of the ironing lol!

So the make I'm sharing today is a little Memorydex card......I bought the
Heidi Swapp Memorydex & some dies for my daughter for Christmas.....oh
my, I think I love it! You know when you have a crafty itch but not much time
to scratch it? Well, these are the perfect size for that.....they can be as fussy &
fancy or as CAS as you like ........but be warned, they're addictive! once
you start making them you won't be able to stop!

My monthly themed challenges will be up & running again this year from
January 4th.......watch this space!

Thanks for calling......have a lovely day!

Challenge #11 - It's Christmas!

Hi friends, hope you're all well and warm....it's ever so cold here
which I suppose adds to the Christmas feeling. Wouldn't it be lovely if we had
a sprinkling of snow......just from Christmas Eve through to Boxing Day though!
Well, we made it all the way to December & if you haven't got your
Christmas craft on yet what are you waiting for? I'd love you to come join
me for my last challenge of the year where the theme is........

CHRISTMAS

My make this time is a little card on a stand........there's a little die cut stand
attached to the back so it will stand on it's own. I used die cut layers, a topper
matted onto some gorgeous teal coloured card then finished with a die cut
sentiment and some faux gems.

This month I have my lovely blog buddy Chris from
and here's one I made earlier joining me as Guest Designer and oh
my, she's made a beauty this time. Chris always makes the loveliest cards
but her make this time is so, so lovely........a Christmas album for her
DIL.......what a lucky lady!

I love the colours too.......a gorgeous combo!

Rules
1 - You must follow the theme set
2 - One entry, new makes only
3 - You must be a follower of this blog
4 - Please link your entry post back to this blog

So whether your style is frilly & fancy, CAS or even grungy & gritty you
can enter your make.....and as usual, there'll be a surprise prize for the
lucky winner. And if you fancy joining me as a guest designer then just add
GD after your name!

Good luck!
xx

p.s - I'll be back tomorrow with last month's winner.......also, I will be closing this challenge a little earlier than usual........Dec 28th, 10pm.
