Lexi's Creations - At the Beach

Morning friends, Happy Monday!

Are you all ready for the start of a new crafting week......hope so as it's

 time for a new challenge over at Lexi'sCreations and this fortnight the theme is

"At the Beach"

                 Not much chance of a day at the beach with the awful weather we're having - you
                               never know - this challenge might encourage the sun to shine lol.

I chose to make an ATC this time, I used the fab Melody digi available from 

Fairy Dust Crafts,  promarkers, glitter,  pearls, cloud die and a fine liner for doodling & seagulls.

The words were computer generated!

Now you all know i share my craft space with Miss Rebecca, don't you, well, now

it seems Master Christian (15) has decided he wants to share, too, on the basis of "If you can't

beat 'em, join 'em"! Who am i to argue with the creative genius known as Chris?

He decided to make a Birthday card for his older Brother and this is how he did it..........

He stamped the background with a music note swirl, layered it on black card, stamped the sentiment and the

guitar and layered them up too.The torn paper has got the lyrics to a song typed on, he's used a border punch, scrunched the paper up them placed the guitar image on top. Last he stapled a piece of ribbon down the side! I'm so proud of him...think he's done a fab job so i'm to look for a few challenges

for him to enter this into. Might even see if he wants to start blogging himself!

I think i really need to stay out of the craft room today, catch up on a few jobs

then i can craft all weekend!Oh, and i need to make a list.......I've

been real good these last few weeks so gonna have me a little spend!

Today's card is another one of those fab Nutcrafters digis, my fav purple

and a few die cuts and that's it! Good to go!

Morning, Thursday already!

Thought I'd have a day off yesterday to catch up on the dreaded ironing and do

a few jobs in the garden......then just had to have a little play!

This gorgeous image is part of a set of stamps that came free with a magazine!

I've been drawn towards digis more often than not recently but just had to stamp this little beauty.

Am not quite sure about the fence though.......couldn't decide if I should take it off or

leave it.......what do you think?

No sentiment again as this is a "just because" card and will sit in my box

until needed! And yet another card where everything apart from the stamp and the memory box

corner die is old! Wow, I'm really ploughing through some stash!

Right, off to do the ironing........promise!!

Tilda sings.......Silent Night!

Morning, my crafty friends...hope you're all well.

First, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all you lovely people who left

Birthday wishes for Richard yesterday...we had a lovely day, topped off with a huge

 takeaway...oh, my...I ate far too much!

And Miss Rebecca was invited  to the Open Air Theatre to welcome

the Olympic Torch to our Town!

A good day all round!

We had lovely blue skies and some sunshine yesterday so I decided

to make......a Christmas Card lol. 

I love all colours for Christmas but always seem to go back to my all time

favourite....blue! Lots of layers on this card, the words to Silent Night, and a gorgeous Tilda!

I also added some ribbon, a snowflake charm and glittered the edged of the

paper although it doesn't show up too well in the pic.

Ooh, I nearly forgot...there's a little tag just hiding down the back of the image!

Rightio, that's all from me for today....it's food shopping day!

Morning friends, just a quick post today!

Another layout made in Serif....I'm starting to love it!

Photo is of my handsome eldest Son, Richard........25 today!!!

Doesn't seem like 2 mins and oh, my, how he's grown!

That cute little blonde with curls is now a huge bear of a man with

tattoos, piercings and hair longer than mine!

3 strokes at the ages of 20 & 21 have taken his life down a very different path

to the one he had planned but it could have been so much worse.....

Do you remember your 1st concert??

Oooh, yes, I do!

 AC/DC many years ago and yes, I'm a bit of an old rocker at heart!

I made this layout playing around in Serif...it just sort of came together

and Chris likes it so that'll do for me!

The photo is of my gorgeous 4th Son, Christian, (he was 14) backstage after his 1st

concert last year. He went so see a band called Black Veil Brides and loved their support

group - a band called My Passion. The blue haired guy is John B from My Passion.

I think it was extra special for Chris because the band made a big effort to talk

to the kids and they were more than happy to have their photos taken, too.

Chris was on cloud 9 for weeks!
