Share an Oldie this Friday!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well & warm.....it's a bit chilly here, feels like we could maybe

 even be in for a bit of the white stuff!

So Friday again, wonder what we'll all be doing two weeks from now lol?

Today I'm joining in with Erika over at Snappycrafts & sharing an oldie, not very old but I'm

 kinda hoping for a white Christmas..........maybe this is all I'm gonna get!

The tags were very quick & easy to make & used less than 1 piece of A4 card! A sprinkle

of glitter, some rafia & a couple of snowflakes & that was it.....job done!

A little bit shabby.....

Morning crafty friends & bloggers......hope you're all well & warm!

Just popping in to share another Christmas card, I think this may be my last one

for this year although knowing my lot I'm sure to hear at least a couple of

cries of 'Muummm, can you make me a Christmas card, please?'

So today's card was made using a die cut sheet from a Studio Light pad,

love these pads, so useful, so many gorgeous designs & they work very well

with lots of other papers too. I simply matted & layered a coupe of sheets,

inked the edges & added some of the die cut elements. The top layer & the tags

are all mounted onto foam pads to give some extra depth & I added a bit of

crochet trim just cos I love it lol.

Rightio, that's me for today. I'm off to do some Christmas shopping, not sure

whether to brave the elements or stay indoors & do it online so I'll go have a

Pay it Forward Giveaway!

Hi crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well & warm.....the weather's certainly

taken a turn for the worse right now...............we have snow & it's so, so cold!

So for today I have a little giveaway, let me tell you the story behind it....

I was at a checkout waiting to pay for something the other day & on front of me was an elderly lady paying for some cushions. She pulled out a couple of neatly folded bags & was trying to put the cushions in them & put her purse away at the same time.....while the cashier sat picking at her finger nails!! I automatically picked up one of the bags & helped her to pack her cushions, then popped them into her shopping trolley for her. She was so thankful & said to me that she hoped I was

rewarded with kindness from someone very soon. The very next day Postie brought me a package from my lovely blog friend Barb containing a heart I'd admired on her blog! 

How gorgeous is that? Thanks so much Barb, I love hearts & this now has pride of place in my

 craft room! So I decided to pay Barb's kindness forward & give away a paper pad.

It's called Mulberry Kisses from First Edition, it's 8x8 & is full of the most gorgeous

papers....some glittered, some fabric, some double sided......just beautiful!

Wooden heart

Morning lovelies, how are you today? Well, I hope. All good here, had a little crafty spend yesterday when I was supposed to be doing my Christmas shopping so guess what I have planned for today? Not a lol,....gonna shut myself away in my craft room & have a crafty play. So today's crafty share is a wooden heart, I painted, sanded, stamped & crackled away then finished with some seam binding I dyed with Dylusions spray ink...... so much messy fun lol!

Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Hi crafty friends & bloggers......hope you're all well.

Well here we are on the last Friday of the month, no idea how that happened so fast

but happen it did & you know what that means...........almost November & time to get

 your Christmas craft on!!!! I know most of us have started but for me once this half term is

 over & my lot go back to school & college that's when I can really get stuck in......and I

love it! So today being share an oldie day with Erika over at Snappycrafts I wanted to

 share an Autumn theme card I made.....not too old but I love the image as it reminds me of

 Miss Rebecca & as she's spent most of the half term on an art project to do with pumpkins

 & leaves it seemed appropriate. The image is from Time for Tea, the papers were freebies

 & the sentiment is LOTV......all the other bits & pieces are from my stash.

Halloween/Harvest with Oddball Art!

real life & health have gotten in the way ......again! I'm hoping though, that things

Quick & Easy Christmas!

Hi friends....hope you're all well & enjoying the week. Half term starts today for

my lot........Rebecca wants to take lots of photographs so I think we'll be going for

some nice long walks and then we'll come home to some nice slow cooked

meals all ready to dish up......mmmm, delicious! Oh, and we'll be having lots of

movie nights....can't beat snuggles on the sofa......with a munchie......or two!

So for today I have another Christmas card, super quick & easy as I'm still struggling

but to be honest I don't think these images need much at all....and I'm on a mission

to use up lots of stash. Rightio, lots to do so I better crack on....but before I go...

....do any of you watch Emmerdale? Who do YOU think shot Robert??? I can't make

Winter Joy

Morning crafty friends......hope you're all well.

Up at the crack of dawn this morning, I was......I love this time of the year...the dark

 nights, the dark mornings......don't even mind the cold but probably the thing I enjoy 

most of all is the early morning peace and quiet in my house lol. Only thing I don't 

like is how hard it is to get a decent pic of anything I make! So for today I have another

Christmas Wishes....

Hi friends, hope you're all well & enjoying the weekend.

Another cold, dark & damp day here.....perfect crafting weather methinks.....or is it

 just me that uses that excuse lol. I'm still struggling with my hands & so 

desperate to colour something but at least I'm still managing to get my crafty fix thanks

 to a few Studio Light die cut card kits I have. They come in sheet form and oh my, 

they're fab! So quick & easy to put together....each page holds the elements to make 

a complete card with lots leftover......so useful to make a matching gift tag or maybe to

 decorate a gift bag.....or a notebook...or maybe even a bookmark.

For this card I added a few of my own die cuts, inked all the edges and then added

an extra layer.....stuck the whole lot onto a 6x6 card blank and that's it....job done!

Another Christmas card.....

Hello crafty friends & bloggers......hope you're all well.
Today I have another quick & easy, flat for posting card to share....I do love the colours
 on this one although I have to say it does look much nicer in real life lol. I'm still not
 up to colouring anything, my hands are still bad but thankfully I can still get my crafty
 fix using lots of die cuts & toppers. I think once my hands are in full working order I'm
 gonna sit & colour up a whole batch of images!
So that's my lot for today, off to get my hair cut soon & have a natter and a cuppa with a
 friend, I think we might even manage a little cake with our cuppa!

Cute Halloween?

Hi friends.....it's Sunday already! Did somebody speed up time when I had my

back turned? Think I better get my skates on if I'm to do all I'd like to do by Christmas!

So today I have a cute Halloween card to share.....the brief was cute, haunted house,

orange.........but absolutely nothing scary/creepy. Now I know the little person has some

 ghost finger puppets and they do sort of look like my ghosts....and they're cute so

this is what I did......just hope it's ok.

Morning friends, hope you're all well.

It's that time of the week when our lovely hostess, Erica, invites us to share an

oldie.....craft style, of course! So as it's October my share had to be Halloween..

......and one of my favourite layouts of my very own Mummy, Skeleton and

the sweetest Little Witch I ever did see......aw, happy days.....seems like only

yesterday I took that photo, I remember it so well. Now though, the boys are 18 

& 16 (and huge!) and my little miss is 13.....how did that happen lol?

over though. Not much crafting going on here........this blooming RA is playing

havoc with my hands so not managed to do any colouring BUT I do have a

premade so all's not lost. Don't think I could last long without my crafty fix even

if it's just half an hour here and there. So, for today I have a birthday card to share,

Christmas Wishes

Morning friends, happy Monday....where are the weeks going? I'm sure time didn't

go so fast when I was young & carefree and especially not when I was at school!

Nowadays I feel like if I blink I might miss something.....must be an age thing lol.

So today I have a Christmas card of the quick & easy variety to share....some simple

matting & layering using some of the fabulous Chalkboard Christmas set from 

Craftwork Cards, some distressed edges & a couple of gems........see, I told you it

Fairies, fairies & more fairies!

Morning crafty friends.....hope you're all well.

Today I have some ATC's to share....these are the ones I made for my swap group

where the theme was fairies. For the base I used a distress ink pad & a Memento ink

pad, stamped the fairy & the sentiment with Stazon. Once dry, I added some glitter to

her wings, finished with a doodled border with my black Posca pen then poped them

in a little bag and they're all ready to go. Now I better get my thinking cap on for 

October's theme.....HALLOWEEN!

Halloween with Crafty Calendar!

Hi friends,  happy weekend! Hope you have something nice planned.

Today I have my Dt make for our new challenge over at Crafty Calendar where we have the

 theme of HALLOWEEN. ....lots of scope for you to get your spook on! You can be as

 creepy or as creepy cute as you like....and you can make anything you want.....ATC's, 

scrap pages, cards......we love 'em all!

The fabulous Di's Digis are sponsoring us this month with a prize of $12!

My crafty offering is a very simple (& very cheap) picture in a frame......the frame was £1

 & the picture was in a pack at 4 for £1!! Miss Rebecca loves to decorate our

 mantelpiece for Halloween so this will soon be on there! I simply removed the glass from 

the frame & used a piece of Tim Holtz paper as backing, the photo was taken from

 card frame it was in & die cut onto a scallop oval frame, I added a little bow then placed

 the whole lot into the frame. Lastly, I rubbed some distress stain over the raised edges of

 the frame....job done! Now for the Halloween twist......if you look the photo from a 

slightly different angle......this is what you see:

Mwaaahahahahaha....can't you just hear her cackling.......spooky.......scary.....& I

think she'll look fab on our Halloween mantel draped in some dusty cobwebs!

Sharing an Oldie Craft Style!

Morning crafty friends & bloggers.....hope you're all well.

Friday again so time to share an oldie, craft style with our lovely hostess Erika over at 

Snappycrafts as she hosts a weekly look back at old crafty makes.

This time I have a digi scrap page to share......the subject being our eldest Jack Russell......Miss

 Milly Piddles.......and oh my, she sure did piddle when she was a pup! She's 7 (and a half!) now

 & the only dog I know who will not go for a walk! Shout 'Come on Milly, let's go for a walk'

 and she's there, all excited...put the lead on, still excited....even open the door & she's there

 but once we're outside she sits herself down & that's it.....she will not budge! Our other dog,

 Mr Milo Dog, aka Beastie Boy is the total opposite & will walk for miles.....and I do mean miles!

Anyway, back to business......if you fancy sharing an oldie too just pop on over to Erika's & leave

Oddball Art challenge reminder!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well. It's a very cool, damp & misty morning

here today.....good job I'm staying home! Got lots of nasty h****work to

do first then hopefully I'll be having a crafty play later on.

So today I have a DT reminder to share.....you still have a couple of weeks

So for my card I used an image I already had coloured up, I'd done it for a canvas

I made for my daughter then realised I'd used the sad faced image instead of

the happy one....she looks so sad the 'miss you' sentiment seemed the most

A little decoupage.....

Morning lovelies.....hope you're all well & had a lovely weekend.

Today I have a travel themed card to share, I made it with a certain person in mind 

then realized I'd already made him one.......doh, must be because my head is too

full of Christmas lol. Some simple matting & layering, some torn distressed inky edges

 & a couple of layers of decoupage.....and I decorated the inside too......
