Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well & had a lovely weekend.
Here's hoping your Monday is going well.........me, I've only cut through the magnetic shim for my cut'n'boss.....not once.....and not even twice........but three times!!! Don't know what I was thinking lol. So today the weather was perfect for crafting......cool & rainy, just how I like it so I made a card!
Lots of distressed layers, I gave the top one a whitewash then added an assortment of flowers, a wooden birdcage, some die cut leaves & a sentiment.......sounds simple? It took me ages lol, couldn't decide on a layout so in the end I just stuck the brown flower & went for it! It was a lovely change to make a card without a stamped or digital image on......kind of reminded me of the early days when I was scrapbook crazy & I definitely got the urge to do some more. Plus, it's a lot easier on my hands!
Rightio, off for a wander around your blogs......once I've ordered myself another magnetic shim!!
Thanks for calling & any comments you might leave........I'm so very thankful.
xx

This is gorgeous Jo, well worth the time spent creating it. You have arranged your flowers beautifully and the added bird cage and foliage are a great finishing touch. I often have days like yours and spend ages moving things around on my card base, adding elements and taking them away. That's why I'm always chasing my tail to catch up I think!

ReplyDeleteOh I thought it was just me who cuts through my magnetic shims! I'm doing it all the time… it's when I've got my mind on other things… put the die wrong way up. Must have done it about 10 times since I got the machine. I buy the packs of three magnetic shims now as it's bit cheaper!! Lol
Have a good week
Love and hugs, Sue B xx
Hi Jo,
ReplyDeletewhat a super and stunning creation.
I love every thing about this wonderful design.
I cut through my magnetic shim also, and stuck it back together with sellotape, and it works fine.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
This is stunning Jo! Love the layers, the details and the flowers you used are just yummy! I've been having issues with being able to stamp this year myself.
ReplyDeleteI persuaded my lovely OH that I really needed a MISTI for my birthday. I've only been using it for a week and now I don't think I could give it up lol. I love it!! I've done so much stamping and perfect stamping at that and no pain in my hands after which is such a bonus. I don't mean to enable but I really do recommend if your hands are hurting Karen xx
