Morning lovelies, hope you're all well. Weather first lol........another dull, damp, grey day here so once the jobs are done I'll be off for a crafty play! Today I have another canvas to share.........and I drew her myself........eeeek! Now I know I'm not the best......and she's far from perfect but I love her! My daughter is taking GCSE Art & sometimes doubts herself (she's amazing) and I'm always telling her to be brave & go with what she feels so when she flipped that & said I need to do the same I kinda thought I needed to practice what I preach lol. You might remember I gave you a sneak peak of her face a few days ago.....well, she started out as a pencil drawing then I simply cut her out & drew around her onto the canvas......had some messy play with acrylics, inks & stencils then I painted her with acrylics. No blending or shading cos I have no idea how to do that (yet) then I used pencil to add some highlights in her hair & to outline her. Last I added the words: Creativity takes Courage........and so she'll be off to join Rebecca's wall of canvas & I hope every time she looks at it she'll take courage from it & realise that if her old Mum can have a go then there's nothing stopping her! Rightio, better go get them jobs done......thanks for calling......see you soon!
xx

This is gorgeous Jo and it certainly does take courage to look at a blank, white canvas and put those first brush strokes on it. Well done for not only painting this lovely creation but for drawing it too - looks like Rebecca got her talents from her mum.
