Things with Wings at Crafty Cardmakers!

Morning crafty friends......hope you're all well!
I can't believe I've been away from my blog for so long......not sure where the time has gone
but it's been a strange 2 weeks lol! Even stranger has been the weather.........we've had
glorious  sunshine in my neck of the woods & even though the last couple of days have
been cooler it's still been nice.......and I do prefer it cooler!
Anyway, today I have my Dt make for the latest challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers
where the theme is THINGS WITH WINGS! As usual, you can find all the info you
need over on the main challenge blog as well as lots of gorgeous Dt makes that are
 sure to inspire you.
I used up more scraps for this card & my favourite colours of the moment too......and who
can resist that gorgeous chalkboard paper? I wanted the die cut butterfly to be the
focal point so I layered it onto a black die cut circle & finished with a birthday sentiment.
Rightio my friends, that's me for today.....thanks for calling & for any comments
 you might leave......see you tomorrow!

Hello Sunshine!

Hi crafty friends.....hope you're all well!
After a little rain last night we're back to sunshine & bright blue skies again.....not sure how long it'll last but I do love having a line full of washing lol!
Do you ever wonder what to do with all those odd bits of paper you just can't bear to throw
away? If you're anything like me you'll have baskets full of 'em! I think I've gotten better at using them up though & one of my favourite ways is to use my banner dies.....that way you can make them as long or as short as you like/want or need!
Apart from the doily & the stamped word, everything on this card is die cut......I distressed the edges & finished the butterfly with a faux pearl and that's it......job done!
Rightio, lots to do today so I'll say thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave...
......see you tomorrow!

Crafty Cardmakers - No Patterned Paper!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well & enjoying the long Bank Holiday weekend (if you're in the Uk).......and of course, the lovely weather!
So today it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers where the theme is
NO PATTERNED PAPER!
As usual, we're a 'just for fun' challenge, you can make anything you like so long as it meets the theme & you can enter as many times as you like but new makes only please!
I made a Christmas card topper, here we are having a heatwave & I'm making Christmas things lol......typical! I layered a Hunkydory topper onto red card then added a die cut frame & a banner embellishment with a peel off sentiment, finished with a few faux gems & that;s it......done!
Do pop over to the main challenge blog & have a look at the fabulous Dt make......as usual, there'll be plenty to inspire you!
Thanks for calling today & for any comments you might leave......see you tomorrow!

Washi Wednesday #2!

Hi crafty friends, hope you're all well!
Welcome to Washi Wednesday #2.......my little attempt to get everybody using those
reels of washi tape that we all seem to have but very rarely use for anything other than
taping down our dies! I'd love you to join me in sharing any & all your makes.......and if you
have any hints, tips or even fancy doing  a guest post then drop me a line!

Today I used my washi as a simple trim for some tags.......simple but very effective, I think.
Practical, pretty and of course, you can make them in any colour using any washi you fancy, they work for any time of the year, not just Christmas!

You will need:   a tag die, stamp of your choice, ink pad, a 'to/from' stamp and the washi of your choice......I chose a teal glittery tape.......oh, so pretty!

Practical, pretty and of course, you can make them in any colour using any washi you fancy, they work for any time of the year, not just Christmas!
Thanks for calling......and don't forget to share any washi makes......leave me a comment so I
can come see!

Let's bake!

Hi crafty friends.......welcome to May!
Here's hoping the weather is better than last month!
Just popping on to share another of the apron cards I made, this one has a real country kitchen feel to it with the chicken background paper & the kraft card. I used green gingham for the pockets & dark green for the hearts & utensils......and everything came from my scrap box!!
Thanks for calling & for any comments you might leave......see you tomorrow!
