Halloween with Nutcrafters!

Morning lovelies....thanks for popping by my little blog!
Today I have my Nutcrafters Dt make to share.....our lovely Helen
chose the theme of Halloween.....well I'm just about all Halloween-ed
 out lol so I coloured this little miss in Halloween colours.....she's
 off to a sleepover with her friends & she's carrying her book of scary
stories lol!! As usual, there's fab prizes to be won.....you can find

Rightio, I'm off to town today..........haircut for Miss B & some
Christmas shopping for me.........wish me luck!

Glass of red, anyone?

Hi crafters, welcome to my little blog!

To be honest I don't really like wine, I'd rather have the grapes lol but I did 

enjoy stitching this piece....and it's finished! I have no idea what to do with

 it so if you have any ideas or even if you'd like it just let me know!

All routine has gone out the window this week, kids are on half term

& so we're having an easy week...........gonna do some more Christmas

shopping & Miss B is off to get her hair cut tomorrow which might mean a

 little trip to the craft shop lol. Got my Christmas cake to make

too......I usually do it the 1st week of the Summer hols but this year

gone by that fast & I didn't even buy the ingredients until September!

Free your mind........

Morning lovelies.......happy Saturday.....hope you have a fun weekend planned! 

For today I have a tag shaped bookmark to share....I used to have  an English

 teacher called Mr Smart....but he was so NOT smart lol, he was the scruffiest 

fella I've ever met but he had a passion for books like you wouldn't believe & I 

thought he was fab.....and that passion has passed from me to 2 of my kids......2

 out of 6 isn't bad lol! He always used to tell us that reading would free

 your mind......hence the sentiment......a little tribute to Mr Smart wherever he is!

The gorgeous image is from The East Wind & all the little bits are from my

 stash, the torn pages are from a coffee damaged Dictionary so you might well

see more bits of pages popping up in my crafting......I hate waste lol.

Winter Weather with Nutcrafters!

Morning crafty bloggers......hope you're all well!

Just popping in to share a tag........a friend asked me the other day what

 Steampunk was.......I tried to explain (but not very well) & so she asked

 me........'if I was Steampunk what would I be?' Now I do love a

challenge.......so here it is..........a Steampunk version of little old me!

Methinks we both have a lot to learn lol although I did have a great

time creating my tag & she's still no wiser..........Google here we come!

I started by giving my tag a coat of Gesso, once dry I added some 

builders tape for texture, when dry I sprayed with my fav Dylusion inks.

The dress form was painted with Gesso, given a layer of Crackle

paint then rubbed over with an ink pad. The skirt is a piece of

cheesecloth sprayed with Dylusions & the belt is just a snippet of chain.

Cogs & wings are die cuts brushed randomly with some bronze mica

 paint & I added a few gems to the centre of the cogs.

I loved making this, I'm really loving trying my hand at the different

styles of crafting........I'm especially loving mixed media!

Morning lovelies, hope you're all well!

It's blowing a storm here today.....did all night too.......was worried the garage

 roof was gonna blow off..........but it's still there thankfully! Still stormy 

though so think I'll be staying put today! I have another piece of finally-finished

 cross stitch to share today.......just a shame it looks  so dull & grey in the

 photo,  IRL it's a lovely bright & colourful piece on white aida.

Love these cold & dark nights......all snuggled up in my craft room getting

on with lots of little jobs that need finishing.
