A card for Jess

Good morning crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well.

Thanks so much for your help in choosing kitty names, we now have a shortlist lol!

I managed some crafty time yesterday & made a card for Rebecca's best friend Jess who is almost 14......where on earth does the time go, won't be long before Bex is 14 herself......eeek!!

For this card I used a pre coloured image from a little pad I have, so useful for when my hands don't allow me to colour......it means I can still get my crafty fix in! Lots of lovely layers, all matted onto my favourite black & finished with some pretty embellishments......lets hope she likes it!

Help me name Izzy's kittens!!

Good morning crafty friends, hope you're all well & had a lovely weekend!

Nothing crafty to share today

Me & Bex spent lots of time yesterday playing with the kittens.....and we finally got some good pics of Izzy's babies......can't believe they're 3 weeks old already. Izzy is very protective of them whereas Lola is much more laid back. We had a few fun moments yesterday when Izzy had a hold of some of Lola's babies & was cleaning them....no way was she letting them go until she'd given them a thorough licking!

 So today I need your help.......we need names for these gorgeous furballs.....as you can see on the pic the black one is called Cain but we can't decide on the rest. Numbers 1 & 4 are girls and numbers 2 & 3 are boys. I'd love to hear your suggestions.....I just wish you all lived closer so's you could come share kitty cuddles!

Alpha/Dictionary challenge - R

Hi my crafty friends & followers, hope you're all well & enjoying the weekend!

I managed a little crafty time this week, wanted to get my page done for the Alpha/Dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn where the letter this fortnight is R.

I chose the word ROSE but as so often happens my page turned out nothing like I planned lol......but it does fit in well with the pages I did so far so all's good! Lots of inky layers on a distressed background & finished with some fabric roses & a dictionary definition.......job done.

Home Sweet Home

Good afternoon my crafty friends & bloggers, hope you're all well.

Thanks so much for all your lovely comments yesterday, health wise I'm always gonna be struggling but I think if I just accept things & pace myself I'll be fine........I know I'm lucky compared to some and if I'm honest I do feel extra lucky......I have you lovely lot, my fabby family......and all those kittens lol! Aren't they the cutest? I'll try harder to get pics of Izzy's but she's so protective of them we don't have much chance to get near them.....but I can tell you there's 2 white & black, 2 almost all black & 1 grey......oh my gosh I wish you lot lived closer then we could all share them lol!

Anyway, I better stop waffling.....I promised you some ATC's yesterday.....the theme for my February swap was HOME SWEET HOME and here's what I made:

 Made entirely with bits from my bit box, still can't see the bottom of it though.....no worries, I'll keep ploughing through it......I bet you're all the same & just like me you keep every single bit lol.

I used Dylusion sprays for the background then just some die cut clouds, freehand cutting & doodling to finish. And here's some of the ATC's I received back:

I have quite the collection now & might have to rethink how I store them.....I'd love them all in the one place & somewhere I can easily look through them.....maybe a ring binder like the ones my boys used to store their trading cards in? I don't know, any suggestions gratefully received.

Rightio, off to spend a cheeky hour (or two) at my desk.....not sure what to make though, I'm feeling a bit rusty! Thanks for calling......see you soon.

It's been a while......

.......well, to be fair it's only been 6 days but that seems forever when you're away from your craft desk don't you think? Family life been crazy mad around here & add to that birthdays, ill health and 10 kittens........yes, 10 little bundles of fluffy gorgeousness you can imagine how busy I've been lol. The kittens are doing so well.....Lola's are 3 weeks & Izzy's just 2 weeks.....oh my, they are so adorable I don't know how we're ever going to part with them! 

Bella - the smallest, sweetest little kitty.....loves snuggles.

Red - the ringleader, that boy loves trouble already lol

Molly - the loudest & the 1st to open her eyes.....she's nosy!

Olly - quiet, calm & patient....and oh, so fluffy!

Thor - not really a kitty, more like a labrador pup.....he's HUGE!

Not much going on craft wise so I'm planning on spending my evening catching up on your blogs but I do have some fabulous ATC's to share tomorrow.

L is for Love!

Hi my crafty friends, hope you're all well & having a lovely weekend.

A bit late in the day I know, but I just wanted to pop in & share my latest page for the Alpha/Dictionary challenge over at The Craft Barn. The letter was L so for me the word I chose just had to be LOVE....love, hearts & family......my favourite things. Throw in some soft, dreamy cheesecloth, a piece of paper swiped with white acrylic & a corrugated cardboard heart & that's it......some of my favourite things all in one place! Sorry about the pic, was a bit too dark to get a decent one.....IRL the paper is a darker blue/green colour.

Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Good morning my crafty friends, hope you're all well.

Feels like ages since I last blogged, life's been so busy......and we have more kittens!! Our gorgeous adoptee, Izzy had her babies in the early hours of last Sunday.......right in the middle of my bed! Yup, she jumped up next to me....made herself comfortable & had 5 babies right beside me! I stroked her & she purred all the way through........she's now the proud Mama of 2 black, 2 white & black & 1 grey kitten......pictures to follow!

So today being Friday it's time to share an oldie with Erika over at Snappycrafts as she invites us to link up a past crafty make. As it's my youngest boys birthday today I decided to share a digi layout from when he was in Y2. Nic was about 6 when this pic was taken.....he's 17 today, a huge 6' 3 rugby playing trainee mechanic..........and he's my big softie!

My layout was created in Craft Artist using the Back to School kit from Daisy Trail.
