Oddball Art Mid Challenge Inspiration Post!

Hi friends......hope you're all well!
Today I have a canvas to share, this is my Dt make for the reminder/
inspiration post over at the Oddball Art Stamp Co. where the challenge theme
 is SPRING! I used Fay the Fancy Fairy, she's available in rubber over at
Whimsy Stamps. I coloured Fay with my Copics, I used distress & acrylic paints,
for the background and all the bits & pieces were from my stash.
There's not many rules & you don't even have to use one of Lizzy's
images but you know we love it when you do! Lots of digi's to be won & you
now get 2 digi's for the same price - one smiley mouth & one pouty mouth!
And that's not all......if you fancy treating yourself you can save an extra 10%

Pug Love

Hi friends......hope you're all well & had a lovely weekend.

No crafty time for me these last few days but I do have something to

share......another book page.....this one for Jess who loves her pug!

Papers, frame, bow & image are all Gorjuss, the letters & heart are all

cut on my Silhouette, the scallop mat is an XCut die & that sweet

image is recycled from an old magazine.

I'm planning an hour (or two) at my desk later so fingers crossed I'll

be back tomorrow......if not, it'll definitely be Wednesday, thanks for

Time to 'Share an Oldie' again with Erika at Snappycrafts & this week I have

 2 digi pages to share, both of my youngest son, Nic when he was in Y2.

 He's 16 now & so busy with his final exams.........then he needs to make a 

decision on College.....ultimately he wants to be either a Teacher or a

Mechanic!! Each so different but so long as he's happy then I'm happy.

And another book page.....

Hi friends........hope you're all well!

Woke up to a cold, damp foggy morning today & yesterday my little

Miss was sent home from school poorly....she's still tucked up in bed with

a bowl......just in case lol......so I think it'll be a day indoors today.

I have yet another book page to share today, this from a swap I did &

for this page the theme was friendship. The papers & die cut flowers were

from a pack that came free with a mag ages ago, I had lots of odd

shaped pieces left so simply layered a few strips onto a piece of black

card & edged them with a Caran D'Ache watercolour pastel (I LOVE

these pastels!) The flowers were inked, shaped & held together with a

brad then lastly I added the black letters........job done!

Hi friends.........hope you're all well.

Looking like another nice day here on the Yorkshire Coast  & you

know what that means........washing on the line....yeah, my life is full of

 the simple pleasures lol. So today I have a 'just because' card to share,

this sweet Oddball Art stamp is called 'Maggie's hand me downs' & she is

 available to buy here at Whimsy Stamps! I coloured her with Copics,

 matted & layered her onto some black card & more of that fab free-with-a

-mag paper, added some die cuts, a sentiment & that's it.........nice and

 flat for posting too!

pieces of Gorjuss paper!

Sharing an Oldie this Friday!

Hi friends..........happy Friday!

Just popping in to 'Share an Oldie this Friday', if you fancy joining in you

Today's share is from almost 3 years ago & was Miss Rebecca's card for

her 10th birthday......and that image is the absolute double of her.....

& now she's almost 13  better get my thinking cap on for her next card!

Not much going on here today, got the usual housework to do then

maybe some craft time later.....hope you manage some too!

Sewing themed book page #2

Morning friends......hope you're all well!

I have another book page to share today, the theme for this one was sewing

 & I loved every minute of making this one! I started with a square of kraft 

card covered with a paper from Craftwork Cards. The edges were distressed

with my craft knife & inked with tea dye then I added some deep cream lace.

The mannequin, also from Craftwork Cards, was given a coat of crackle paint

& inked with tea dye too. I cut the thread holders, the pin & the needle on my 

Silhouette & added some real thread. The words were hand stamped & then

 hand stitched onto the paper then lastly, I added a couple of flowers &

 some buttons.

Rightio.......work to do this morning then a quick trip into town this aft so

probably won't get any crafty time til tomorrow.....see you soon!

challenge over at Oddball Art where the theme is SPRING!

I'm so happy to be sharing my 1st Dt make for the team.....I made a card this

time using the lovely Fay the Fancy Fairy......she's only available in rubber

Hi friends.......hope you're all well!

Another book page to share today, again from the book I made for 

Rebecca's friend, Jess for her 13th birthday. I'm happy to say she loved

it & I think I may well have requests for a few more pages to add to it!

So this is the Family page.....as I didn't have pics of her family I

went with just a verse. Papers & girl are Gorjuss, the heart is an Xcut

die, letters cut on my silhouette, flowers & pearls are from my stash &

 the verse & words were computer generated.

That's it from me for today.....kids are all back at school/college today

so once the housework's done I'm hoping for an hour (or two) at my desk!

March ATC swap

Morning friends......hope you're all well!

Last day of the holidays here so we've had a lovely sleep in this morning, 

in fact the 2 youngest are still in bed!! I don't sleep well & was still

awake at 4.45 this morning so then sleeping til 9.15 was a rare treat indeed!

So today I have an ATC to share, this was my make for the March

swap, the theme was STEAMPUNK & I had a fab inky, messy time

making it! I started with the blank ATC, ran it through an embossing

 folder & added the die cut clock hands. I then used Dylusion spray inks,

dusted some mica powder paints over the whole lot then rubbed some

 gilding wax over the raised parts. Lastly, I added some letters to spell TIME.

As usual, it was a great swap....here's a pic of the ATC's I received....

Rightio....off to do some jobs.....then it's playtime lol!

Morning friends........happy Saturday, I hope your weekend's got off

to a good start! I have another page from the swap I did to share

with you today..........the theme for this one was tranquility/peace.

I pondered awhile (as you do lol), had visions of beautiful sunsets,

soothing colours, calm oceans and then just thought you know what?

For me, peace & tranquility always comes with a nice, hot cup of tea.

........and so my page was born. The papers are from My Mind's Eye, I

distressed the edges with my craft knife then inked with tea dye, the

cup was cut on my Silhouette & I simply added a punched heart & 

some pearls......and the computer generated verse!

Sharing an oldie on Friday!

3 & 7.......they're 12 & 16 now & Rebecca's an almost 13 year old little Miss

& Nic is a 6 foot 2  rugby player.....but they both still love cuddles lol!

Book page swap #1

Morning friends.....hope you're all well!

Today I'm sharing a page I made for the book page swap I took part in over in

 a Facebook group. Our lovely Sam chose the theme of Sci-Fi and oh my, did I 

worry over this one..I had no idea where to start! The image came from

 Miss Rebecca.....she loves to draw & had recently got a new 'how to draw' book

......she followed the instructions & drew the face & I gave him blue hair with

 Copics. The base was my version of the moon.....I gesso'ed, painted, sprayed,

dabbed, added frantage.....you name it, I did it, added a few stars to finish and

 that's it....my version of the man on the moon lol.

.....it's so pretty & the heart opens up to reveal a lovely verse.

Rebecca & me are gonna have a sewing day today, well, she's gonna 

sew & I'm gonna watch lol.

A Page for Jess #2

Morning friends......hope you're all well!

Today I have a couple of book pages to share.....you might remember I

made a little book for Rebecca to record her birthday memories last

year? Well, her best friend Jess told her she'd REALLY love

something like it for herself.......and you can guess the rest lol!

Instead of an album we went for a book that was full of her favourite

things.....and these pages are of her favourite books.

I used some Gorjuss paper, a spellbinder die, a scallop border punch,

flowers & gems from my stash, the 'A' was cut on my Silhouette

and the pic was recycled from a magazine!

I used a Dilly Beans image for my card, the papers were free with a

definitely plan on using it more.
