Book Page Swap, Theme - Keys

Hi lovelies...........hope you're all well.
A grey, wet morning today.....just my kind of weather lol. Well, the
wallpapering didn't get done yesterday but I did at least get the wallpaper & I
already have the paint so that's a start.........fingers crossed it'll be done on
Monday..............and at least I sorted out 2 big bags of rubbish!
So today I have a book page to share,  each page is 5 x 5 inches & we  had to
leave a 3/4 inch gap down the left side so's it could be punched ready
for binding. The theme for this page was keys....I started with a square of kraft
card & added a dictionary page. The corrugated cardboard layer was scraped
with a pencil to distress it a bit, swiped with some acrylic paint & then I added
some crackle paint. I used acrylic paint on the key & chain and then wiped
most of it off, the wings were die cut & painted with mica. Lastly, I added a
couple of metal corners. Loved making this page, it's great to be able to use
so many different mediums all on one page.......& very messy too lol!
Thanks for calling today & whatever you're up to......have a lovely weekend!
xx

  2. Clever use of the dictionary page showing the definition of 'Key' in the background. Love the texture and elements used. I'm really getting in to the idea of mixed media having seen a few blogs lately, just need to get a few supplies and gear-up for the messy part.

  7. This is lovely Jo. Great idea for a male card.
Good luck with the wallpapering. I bought mine 3.5 years ago and it still hasn't got up. To be fair, we have been waiting for someone to replaster our ceiling and no-one wanted to do such a small job until 2 weeks ago!!
